I got a few hours out of it.

I put enough time in the previous game to make it worth buying this one when it was almost full price. This one is like the first game in some ways. You go around villages and towns gathering an army, run down looters, attack other people, join a kingdom, become a king. The battle has some simple commands for your troops and you fight with them.

There were a lot of bugs at first but they have been good about patching the game and filling in missing content. We were getting daily updates for a while and I have no doubt that they are still working on the next update now.

Also this game will eventually have a large modding community once the game is fully released. Actually there already is a large modding community, but you have to go to nexusmods or another site, and it will grow once it is available on steam and they release more tools.

This game looks like it has fun mechanics at first but after you get past the beginning you quickly realize that the controls are a pain in the butt and it isn't a gradual progression of difficulty/new abilities they throw a new mechanic at you before you get used to it and then up the difficulty by a lot. I quit after the first level where you start to collect birds although I was ready to quit 2/3 of the way through. I bet it would look cool seeing a speed runner do it.
