Firstly, I played the Game mostly in the stand-alone application, nevertheless I feel the need to correct many - you could say - overly negative reviews.
I played around 400 hours mainly on the german side.

Many reviewers talk about a huge grind to get to good weapons. That is simply not true, unlike many games like Warthunder oder WorldofTanks (just to name a few WWII themed MMOs) where you have to spend weeks or months to get top tier equiptment and in which you are almost required to invest real money to make it quicker, in this game you can earn yourself top tier equiptment in a matter of days.
I never spend a penny on this game and I pretty much have endgame items, after playing 100 Hours or so. That has to be the fastest unlocking of all the MMOFPS out there.

EVERYTHING in this game can be bought by the normal in-game currency, even veteran membership to grant you a boost to pretty much everything.
While it is true that player counts are stagnating, servers are far from empty, in a matter of max. 30 sec. you have yourself a nice starting match with good ping. On evenings just the GE side has thousands of players logging into general chat.

But the truly outstanding feature of this game is its interlocking world map, where ressources are deployed to hundreds of cities to become tickets in the FPS side of the game. Everything is played with consequences to a larger war ( that you truly want to win )
So even with quite a few drawbacks-like man reviews correctly mentioned, this little devteam has created a fascinating game that kept me playing for hours straight.
