It's endlessly fascinating to see how many ways there are in performing a simple task: launch a metal projectile through a combustion of chemicals in rapid succession.
The engineering solutions seen in the operation of weapons and how they're assembled are mesmerizing.
It's great the devs keep putting in more weapons to study.

Great characters, great art direction, great game overall.
Story progression is typical for Tales, for better or worse.
Embrace the grind and prepare yourself for the feels.

You play a cybernetic flesh puppet space ninja with awesome powers.
That there is enough of a draw.

Fashion frame, Kuria hunt and fishing are the true end game.

I'm sorry, Sayori.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Help me, Monika.

Nearly a month afterwards, this game still haunts my thoughts.
Nominated for a Steam award.

One of the most emotional and engaging games I've ever played.
It is short, but it is an experience everyone should go through.

The presented history is trunkated and the events are stylized to fit as a game/educational cartoon, but it works in the given context.

The most important part about the game is the emotional rollercoaster.
It made me cry, dammit!

Gonna recommend this game, since it had suspenseful moments and sneaky puzzles all in the package of a great pre-rendered first-person point-and-click adventure game.

World building is interesting with the culture that built the ship and the details of their lives onboard.

The only strike against the game is that it doesn't really have replayability. Once you've figured out the puzzles and the required sequences of playing through the game, then it's just going through the motions. The only real decision point is with the transition to the third act.

Turret defence where you mow down legions of jihadis for the sake of Europe.

Enemies come in a few varieties: regular infantrymen, technicals, armored HMMWVs, two kinds of landing boats and suicide bombers and cars. It's your job to mow them down with upgradable weapons and unlockable power-ups. Your objective as a player is to break score records, just like the good old times at arcades.

Graphics are rather nice, as the engine is the same as on Hatred, the studio's previous project.

A great breath of fresh air on an old and nearly forgotten game genre. I get fond memories of Ryssän Kauhu (google it) while playing this.

And hey, you're mowing down countless Daesh barbarians. That's the next best thing to wiping out nazies. DEUS VULT!

Classically designed point-and-click adventure on a (somewhat) abandoned top-secret research facility in the creepy basement of the Solar System, Neptune. Seriously, why is it always Neptune that has the really freaky stuff happening? Mars is more hospitable, for crying out loud.

This game is horror. You will be scared and your soul will be wrenched through the twists and turns of both the plot and the facility.
Really bad stuff has gone down before you awaken from your stasis pod and it's all down-hill from there.

Controls are intuitive, the UI is handy. Common late 90s/early 2000s point-and-click gameplay tropes are present.
The story is short, so I won't spoil anything. It's worth playing over a weekend, especially at night.

Looking forward to a potential sequel.

This is clearly and indie title, let's start with that.
3rd person fantasy/sci-fi action roleplaying game wiht plenty of satirical elements. Takes about 10 hours to play through.
Strictly the game is as bare-bones as that, but it doesn't need to be more.

Let's start with the negatives:
The controller control scheme takes getting used to
Movement does not take analogue input
Graphics are ho-hum for 2016 (only a concern to some)
Lots of royalty-free music used in the soundtrack (they work, but original score would've worked nicely)
The overarching story is a bit cliche at times
Parrying is impossible when on the offensive
Oldschool camera
Story choices are illusions (was that the point?)
Sidekick doesn't do much anything in battle

Positives:
Sidekick doesn't get hurt in battle or hinder you
The writing is solid
The humor is spot-on
The setting is interesting
The monsters are varied (tenor-singing giant spiders)
The characters KNOW their adventure is cliche
All them pop-culture references (don't make a drinking game out of it; you gon die)
Weapons and powers make for easily costumisable gameplay (directed magic blast, empowered melee, magic AoE attack and dodge mechanic)

Oh, if the studio had had more resources for this along with talented voiceacting, the game would've been even better.
Still, as it stands, it's well above average for me. And for an indie game that's a lot.
Looking forward to what the studio will make next.

EDIT: oh, almost forgot, a controller is basically a must to play this game, IMO.
