I played through the story 3 times, one run where I did light side missions, a second on a different life path and a 3rd trying to 100% all side quests but failing due to a certain character's phone calls bugging out (happened on 2 of my playthroughs) I recommend playing this game in its current state only if you are okay with the bugs, the story is amazing and I loved every minute of my playthrough with the only gamebreaking bugs (lots of minor ones as well) being the mentioned side quests (specifically in Westbrook). If you have patience then I'd just wait for the patches when the game will be polished because as it currently stands there are a lot of small things and a few large things wrong with it that can make your experience less enjoyable.

Not a bad game just has a steep learning curve. I started playing on launch and I've enjoyed every hour in it. There will always be people complaining about jank especially when they just haven't learned the mechanics all too well and there definitely is some actual jank here and there but nothing I would call game breaking. You will spend a lot of time learning the game before you start getting decent at killing people. It wasn't until about level 90 for me that I started playing decently (some people are amazing already at level 20 so to each player their own). If you get mad at games easily from dying this probably isn't the game for you. If you don't mind getting stomped for awhile while you learn the game then I'd say it is for you. Some toxic people here and there but no more than any other game and if you aren't an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you probably won't have much of an issue. I haven't had toxicity directed at me in my 1k hours of almost only duel servers and quite a few hours of comp play.

While it certainly has some imperfections as most VR combat games do it is a very enjoyable experience all around. If you enjoy medieval combat games in VR you will most likely thoroughly enjoy this one as it takes a more direct focus on large scale battles rather than 1v1s or 1v small groups. In the campaign you build an army, and train them with an end goal of taking over every country. There are diplomatic approaches to things as well as violent, you may siege villages, towns, barracks and castles. Convince the lord attacking your troops to leave or beat his army in battle. While the NPCs can get stuck at times it is nothing I would consider too broken to enjoy and is typically caused by the pathing on certain maps when giving the follow command to troops and they try to walk in a corner (namely the beach map). Throwing weapons takes some getting used to and it is very easy to die at the beginning of the campaign until you purchase some armor and mastercrafted weapons. At the time of this review I am 15 hours in and have taken control of 2 of the 5 countries (now 4 because one country took over another independent of my actions). Overall I would say the pros of this game outweigh the cons (which are few and far-between in my opinon) the combat feels nice, swinging weapons feels good, it is satisfying to fight enemy soldiers and order your soldiers around. Always carrying a horn into battle to blow as I charge into the enemy line with my army. The biggest downside to me is that starting out there isn't much help as to what you should be doing in the campaign. I figured most of it out from the loading screen tips and just playing around on my own. Still trying to find the unique soldiers to recruit in taverns and the unique weapons in the world.

I've found this game to be pretty enjoyable, I typically will play through a 20 wave match on the highest difficulty every day or so just to play around after beating the main game. The combat system is pretty fun, parrying works pretty well and the roadmap for the game looks promising with consistent content updates and bug fixes. You will die a lot at the beginning until you are able to upgrade your skills and armor. The campaign is just fighting waves of enemies in different areas that have different kinds of weapons and armor ending with a boss level for each area and then a main boss after completing all previous ones. I turned on modifiers to make the game more challenging as well as without them head-stabs are instant kills which makes it a breeze to play through (also super helpful to have if you are just starting out but once you get the hang of it and upgrade your gear I recommend removing it). I can see why some people don't like it but if you like medieval fighting games then I definitely recommend giving it a shot. I've played just about every medieval sword-fighting VR game and while I wouldn't say this is the best of all of them it has some of the best parry mechanics that actually feel rewarding to perform. There are still some improvements to be made but everything I feel is lacking in the game is confirmed to be added in the roadmap. Biggest con for me currently is bugs related to stabbing enemies as they will sometimes get stuck on your blade, quick fix, let go of your sword and telekinesis grab it.

Took me 13.7 hours to beat the game on Classic difficulty. While not long the story was engaging and I loved it from beginning to end. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in the series.

If you want a solid VR game that you can play online with easily then this is the game for you. Community is pretty friendly and I always have an enjoyable round when I play.

One of my favorite VR games to date. I enjoyed playing through the story a lot, climbing was a lot of fun, melee weapons can be kinda wonky until you get used to the physics but melee weapons are easily my favorite in the game. Lots of replayability whether to go back and unlock all the weapons, mess around in the sandbox or testing your skills against waves of enemies. Exciting game that leaves me ready for more content and the next VR game they make.
