I sadly never played the original game that launched on PS2 - but I always felt, that I could (and would) really like this game.


Since there are countless other reviews already stating what is great about this game, let me just give you a short overview of great things this game has to offer for a very, VERY small price:



+ The Artstyle is amazing - I get, that not everyone likes it, but it really is refreshing and abolutely fantastic looking - thanks to the artstyle itself, the game aged very, very well.

+ A heartfelt, beautiful story with countless different and unique characters, beautiful landscapes with things to explore and discover.

+ The combatsystem is good, experimenting with the brush is a fun thing to do, compared to other games it definitely gets stale pretty quick and does not offer that much to "git gud" at (endless combos, parrying...etc.)

+ The Music is AMAZING - its one of those games you want to come back to just to listen to certain tracks in certain areas of the game (...or you could just go to youtube ofc) - it offers everything from exciting, hectic music to tranquil and chill, even serene music. Turn up those headphones or speakers!


If you are looking for a zelda-esque Adventure to sink your teeth into - look no further!


Okami is a piece of Art everyone should have played at least once. I mean, come on. Its 20 Bucks (even less if there is a sale for it)

Im excited and looking forward to continue playing and advancing in the story!


Edit - Such a great game. From Beginning to the End I loved the whole experience - sure, it gets repetitive from time to time, but the music, the environment, the deep characters, its just an amazing experience. That ending was wonderful and no matter how often I see it, it always lets my tears flow.
