This game is pretty good but it needs a functional minimap.

This review is based on the bright lord story missions and test of the ring challenge.

If you are going for the story I would suggest you buy this but if you are expecting any improvements to the nemesis system I would recommend you to skip this. The only thing they did to the nemesis system was to increase the max level of captains and warchiefs to 25 but thats about it. There are no new nemesis (aside from the 5 premade warchiefs that are story related), perks, classes, power struggles, ranks e.t.c. They even made the grunts look more armored than most of the captains. Also there were no info about the release date until the day the dlc came out (you still downloaded the dlc through a patch a week from realese).

Botton line. they did everything to let us belive the dlc would be soo big but we were met with a bitter cold that shows us how the game industry really is.

Yet, this game had soo much potential (get the base game, it is a blast to play). The devs said this dlc would be the final major dlc for Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor. So the only thing that will save this game is mod tools or if the devs change their mind and decide to actually listen to the fans and among many other things make the game more dynamic.

Goodbye cruel world
xoxo

Wow, what a game. You will almost never meet the same Uruk Captain or Warchief twice. If you love enemy variety within the same race you will definitely like this game. Altogether Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has quite a lot of attention to detail.
9,1/10

If you liked Overlord 1 you should get this one. I personally think Overlord 1 was better. You can read my review of Overlord 1 at http://steamproxy.com/profiles/76561198011310716/recommended/11450 Some differences from the 1st one:

You can resurrect lost minions. I did find this take out the thrill of keeping your favorite minions alive.
You can fight soldiers in formations, I found this a welcome addition because it created more warlike moments.
Added mini-map. This helps you find your way around the world.
No arena in the the PC version. I think this weakens the replay value of the game.

A hidden gem,
no seriously this is one of the best games I have ever played. The reasons? The minions obviously! They are just hilarious! My favorite part of them is the fact that they can loot equipment so you can have 50 brown fighter minions that look unique and barbaric. Did I mention that they have a hierarchy system too? The strongest minion (and probably your favorite) always goes next to the dark lord and the other line up behind him so at the furthest back you have those newly spawned grunts. You must be careful about the minions that you do care about because if they die they are gone forever. I once had my favorite minion who was wearing a golden crown which he looted from a fat hafling king get smashed by a succubus, oh god did I miss him!

I originally got the game on disk hence the play time.
