It's a lot like a pepper mill, no matter how much you grind, the end result is the same. More pepper.

This title is early access, this is my current opinion of the game's current state.

Grav is a open world procedural "survival" game. I use the term survival very loosely in this case as there seems to be very little that is actually threatening to the player from the start unless you randomly spawn among high level enemies. Even if you do, the environmental enemies, rarely get bothered by random enemies in the open world unless you stand directly on top of them. Once you have the opening pistol that really doesn't matter anyways, as you can gun down enemies from such a distance they will never get close enough to you to deal any damage.

Crafting is very simplistic, you use your multitool and click on a resource for long enough, and you collect the bits that drop off, barring it being something that requires an extractor. Crafting is based on having enough of these materials on hand and having the apropriate bench assembled. This also goes for building construction, drag and drop your building of choice on the area with the right amount of resources, and you have a pre-fabricated building appear. You do not build the structures itself in this game compared to several others, you just place them once you have the materials.

Standard progression is gated behind RNG, which means you may have to kill hundreds of enemies for "blueprints" that may or may not be useful. Outside of that your character levels up which really doesn't feel important.

The game does have a very nice aesthetic, but it seems to be lacking any interesting gameplay considering the other options within the same type of game. This is until you apply any of the character stims which then cause your character to glow in random annoying colors which may or may not hurt your eyes.

The game seems very entry level in the terms of gameplay.

Pros:
-Aesthetic
-Difficulty
-Enemy Design
Cons:
-Loading Screen crashes
-Very little creative options for construction
-AI is very lacklustre
-RNG based progression
-Apparent weapon imbalance

At the current price of 59.99 I don't feel that this game is delivering on the experience I managed to recieve from other games within the franchise. If the core game was about 30-40 dollars then I would suggest it, but the duration of play you get compared to Borderlands or Borderlands 2 is miniscule at best.
