One of the best games I recommend in RL for people to experience.
It will either strengthen your relationship or destroy it.
I've seen couples bicker and break up.
I've seen couples laugh and enjoy the whole ride.

I hope you can enjoy this as much as all of us could.

Never played the pre-1.0 version, using what's available. Played it on Heroic.
* Game is a simple hack/slash with abilities.
* Story is bland, boring, and skippable.
* Combat is fun for the first 20 hours but becomes repetitive with the same mobs and maps.
* Some characters are DRAMATICALLY better than others.
* The mechanic of swapping characters instantly is superb.
* Severe frame drops occur with new abilities, spells, or animations.
* FPS performance worsens as the game progresses.
* Multiplayer exists and is easy to join but feels unrewarding, like solo play with another person.
* Long range weapons are all kinda bad and should be reworked.

Is it fun? Yes
Is there a lot of contect? There is enough to go by.
Will be fulfil you on a deeper level? No, it'll honest feel like a waste of time.

It's a fun 100+ hour game.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how good the game is.
It reminds me more of Souls-Like + Nioh. Great combos and fun boss fights.

I can't recommend Helldivers 2 at the current state.

Sony's decision to enforce PSN (which they have backtracked from) have locked out 177 countries from enjoying this game, effectively killing the player count.

On top of the country lock issue, the balancing team genuinely hates fun. Do you have a gun that you enjoy? Don't worry, they will give you less than 2 weeks to enjoy it before nerfing it out of existence. They will do it every patch until there aren't any guns to enjoy on difficulty 7-9.

The devs seem to have lost track of whether they want a good game on their hands or pump out new underperforming Warbounds that cost $15 extra to purchase or 60 hours of extra gameplay which will be nerfed by the time players get it.

It's a successor to DD1 if you can get past the performance.
My 3060 can't stay above 50 FPS, so I went as far as getting GeForce NOW ultimate, which offers 4080 support.
Guess what? It's NOT better.

I have NEVER seen a game that tanks your FPS more than DD2. I can't imagine what type of NASA supercomputer they tested their game on because it can't sustain a stable 60 FPS on the top tier GPU. Insane tbh.

On microtransactions, it's a non-issue and you wouldn't reserve to it.

Everything about a save file is true. These are the most aggressive anti-user practices I've seen in any game. They mentioned they are working on a solution.

Also, I've never seen a case where DLSS made the game run WORSE. Unreliable

I can't recommend until they or MOD community optimizes their mess.
