Even though it's a great game and adds from the original, as this is a remake, it can be quite frustrating and honestly, I went in not really having any idea what I was walking into: monsters, gods, Atlantis, I mean, I thought it was just some Tomb Raiding and racing against rivals. While the mechanics and animation are good, the gameplay is rather tedious, mainly in the shooting mechanics. The bullet time/rage was a good idea, but not executed well enough to my liking. The puzzle/climbing mechanics however, are good, fluid and perform well. It's a good game, but for being released in 2007, it really hasn't aged well, the textures are low res and the models are a bit . . . well, they're alright.

I'll end this by admitting that I did enjoy the game, despite its flaws and tedious shooting mechanics and QTE's, but if you want to get into Tomb Raider, the newest reboot is a good place to start for fine story telling and gameplay. If you're feeling nostalgic, you can get the original on Steam, or get this one for the updated models.

7/10

Recommend for the story.

F@CK QTE's.

The Walking Dead is a tremendous game story wise. The character development and cinematic gameplay exceeds other games that have tried this style of gameplay. You grow fond of your player character of the course of the episodes and his group. The biggest development is that between Lee and Clementine, who will be the player character in Season 2. There are several ways to go about completing the story, as in whether or not certain characters survive or leave, but this doesn't affect the overall plot.

One thing that did bother me were some of the animations, they seemed clunky in some areas, maybe a little bit lazy for being a game so character centric. And even though Telltale were smart with the comic book stylization to attract fans of the original comics and not the show, they could have used higher resolution textures, as the foliage and some clothing were obviously low resolution.

Overall, it's a fantastic game worthy of its acclaim.

Myst is one of those games that you spent hours as a child on your Windows 95 trying to solve the crazy amount of puzzles. I must have spents countless hours with my brothers and I recall actually beating the game. While it hasn't aged well and the gameplay is vague, it still has one of the most interesting stories that pulls you in. Trying to play the game again though, well, I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't imagine trying to get past all the ridiculously mind boggling puzzles or trying to read several guides again. I clicked my way through the island for a bit and it did bring back some nostalgia, but it also brought back some severe head scratching moments, like, "How the ♥♥♥♥ did I manage this at 8 years old?"

While it's a great game for people that have never played it, it really is nerve wrecking and will just make you mad.

Lilly Looking Through is a smart, puzzling and artistic indie adventure. The use of time travel to change how you make your way through a level is smart and somewhat innovative. The artistic direction is great and the point and click gameplay is simple, yet satisfying. While it is a good game, the puzzles are tedious and complex and can take several tries to solve without using a walkthrough. Even though the puzzles can take some time to get through, the game is still devastatingly short, I would have loved to see more levels to add to the adventure of Lilly and Row.

Jordan Mechner managed to do what few franchises can do: reboot the series with a game better than the original. The Sands of TIme is a masterpiece in video game design, story telling, puzzling and a somewhat functioning combat system. If you get used to the combat of dodging, wall jumping and frog jumping over enemies to defeat them, then you shouldn't have a problem, yet the combat is the weakest part of the game. It can be frustrating and you may ask yourself, "How many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sand soldiers are there?" as they seemingly respawn for an infinite amount during the fight sequences. What is truly remarkable about the game is the character development of the Prince and his ability to grow affectionate for a sworn enemy. Now, if you do play this game on Steam, I highly recommend using a controller and binding the keys/actions in the games options, as the Keyboard and Mouse controls are clunky and extremely frustrating where I really wanted to quit playing the game, even though I was so close to beating it. Great game, terrible PC controls, use a controller.

It's an alright game, decent controls, but overall, generic single player story which also acts as multiplayer. I never got around to beating it as the campaign is also frustratingly annoying.

The controls are quite decent and there is a sort of parkour system that was shown in trailers, but it's not like the developers bothered to complete that system, amongst a few other things. The game is kind of good, but it's still not polished well enough, nor is the plot anything special.

It took me a while, but I beat Morrowind and only did the main quest alongside two faction quests and the expansions. There's not much to say about it, it's a great title and the beginning of what is expected from Bethesda in their Elder Scrolls titles; humourous dialog (depending on your choices, of course), a great story, great visuals (for its time), and decent gameplay.

Morrowind hasn't aged well, andn there are mods to fix that, most famously, the Overhaul mod. But I was satisfied with just the MGE XE mod, as it made the game widescreen HD, and gave a good draw distance.

The gameplay is, well, decent. Bethesda has certainly improved combat upon Morrowind with Oblivion and Skyrim, but it works, sort of.

Not sure if I would play Morrowind again, but if I did, it would probably be through the upcoming Skywind mod.

Deus Ex was only supposed to be a great FPS, but it also turned out to be a great RPG title with unique dialog and character interactivity. But wait! There's more! It's also a fantastic stealth game where you can knock out your enemies with a baton, electrocute them or use a dart gun. And the plot! The plot is entertaining with various backstories and conspiracies. There are so many ways to beat the game and get through the sprawling environments. It's also a game of epic scope for travelling across the globe, from NYC, to Hong Kong, to Paris and parts of Southern California. JC Denton will also go down as one of the most badass protagonists in video game hisotry.

Thief is the pinnacle stealth game. Presumed to be the first stealth title to use shadows as a form of hiding from the enemy. The controls still hold up to this day, but the graphics haven't aged well, some of the characters look like coneheads. Either way, the dialog from the npc's is fantastically written and the plot development of Garret's venture as a professional Thief starts from basic robberies to religion conspiracy. A worthwhile title of being one of the greatest stealth games of all time.

Half-Life is the game that set the standards to all first person shooters, this one being more and more interesting than the rest and several titles following it for it's mysterious protagonist, Gordon Freeman, and the bleak government cover-up attempt of the Black Mesa incident. Its legacy has become more of a guideline for how first person titles should be with level designs, minor puzzles, optional companions and plot development. The game and its sequels will go down in history as the most critically acclaimed franchise of all time. If you haven't played this game, then you must.
