Sadly, rather disappointing. As many others have pointed out, the design and story aren't great. The ending was just embarrassing. Many have commended the writing, but I can't share the sentiment. Perhaps above par for game writing - but that's not the same as 'good' writing. The slick coating of strong language and Scottish slang just didn't cut it for me. The voice acting was great, for the most part. Similarly, the visuals and setting are decent. But it feels like a lazy attempt to remake 'The Thing' on an oil rig - while somehow missing everything that made the film so great. The non-too-subtle nods to the film, right down to the names of the protagonists - McCleary / MacReady - are just cringe inducing. It's a real shame though, as it's clear many members of the team put a lot of passion into this.
