This is a gem. Sure dev's take their time updating but let's face it: Game development is hard.

The game is clearly made with love and passion and in times where so many games get more and more "casual", this one is a hard one to master and it pleases the host.
If you:

- do not shy away from having to master a high learning curve.
- love the feeling of having a "every step counts" survival setup where no one holds your hands.
- love a classic RPG
- want to live in a living and breathing world where you are not the chosen one

this one is for you! well worth the price if you ask me.

The game might seem a little rough around the edges on the first and maybe also the second glance, but make no mistake, it is a small gem with a really solid and fun game loop. The game mechanics are immersive and remind me of what might happen if Stronghold and Battle Brothers had a little love child.
Are there bugs? Sure, I encountered a few, but most importantly the devs contacted me literally immediately (!) and after half a day produced a hotfix.
If you crave medieval town development and cannot wait for Manor Lords, do give this one a try.

excellence in game form. If you have a natural resilience for frustration go get it right now. Most punishing and most rewarding game I've ever played.

This is a no-brainer. If you want a gritty but fun mercanary band simulator with a steep learning curve look no further. It is just so good!

just an amazing game and the devs keep the line of communication open. If you are on the edge if you should buy or not: Just do it.
