Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love CoH2 (and the original CoH game as well) and I could talk all day about the positive features of this game (particularly the Wikinger Win Condition mod package), but unfortunately they are absolutely negated by the instability of the game client and the network connectivity. I cannot count the number of times I've been significantly invested in a game and had one of the following occur:
- Client disappears (as though you've Alt+F4'd it)
- Generic game crash (with the option to send an Error Report)
- Game network lag/hiccup causes myself or a friend to be removed from the game and be replaced by an AI
- Brief periods of excessively low FPS, even with graphics options turned down (on a PC specifically designed for high gaming performance).
I remember having these issues with the original CoH as well so it's just extremely disappointing to see that minimal/no effort was put into improving these problems when releasing CoH2. If it ever gets fixed, I couldn't recommend the game more highly. For now, it might be worth spending your money on something more reliable.

Early Access Review
Review is based on the Campaign mode only! (which is all I wanted out of this game - a solo survival/crafting experience)
What I like:
- The fundamental mechanics of building an endless variety of vehicles. This is the main attraction of this game.
- The wide variety of parts available
- The world structure (biomes, missions, the 'possibility' of building bases)
- Different factions with different types of parts
- The setup of the crafting system

What I dislike:
- There is no skill to combat. You just lock onto a target and the turrets shoot random blocks off the enemy until the Cab is destroyed. It's battle of the builds - whoever stacks the most guns wins.
- You can't hit moving targets (caveat that I havn't unlocked every single weapon in the game yet). If a target gets close you both end up doing circles around each other until someone runs into something and stops, at which point they have no chance as their weapons can't hit the moving target.
- Player proximity spawning AI. Stay in one place a few minutes (e.g. to run parts back to the Vendor SCU) and you'll have multiple red blips on your radar surrounding you. There is no safe place to recover to in this game. The only respite you get is if you manage to find enough parts to build 2-3 turrets in one place early in the game before the AI ganks you.
- Player crafting/manufacturing is not feasible until Campaign endgame. You don't have the ability to gather resources efficiently and establish an effective assembly line for parts until after you've hit higher/highest faction levels. At this point you've finished the campaign mode and you don't have a reason to make parts anymore.
- Lack of controls. The keybinds in the menu is very light on and doesn't allow you to change the target lock key (as an example). Also, something that lets you drop the resources you're carrying would be super handy (don't know how many times I wanted to drop the 20 pieces of wood for resources I actually wanted to collect).
- "Crafty Mike" Tutorials. These tutorials cover about 5% of the mechanics designed into the crafting pieces. For every minute I spent waiting for Crafty Mike to finish rambling about the endless profits we're going to share, I had to spend 20 minutes on the Steam community trying to figure out how to even start connecting Collectors, Silos, Refineries and Fabricators to actually produce something I need.

I know that the developers would most likely respond to my feedback with something like "we're working on crafting" or "we plan to improve the AI before 1.0" but sadly I've found posts from 2015 that say the same things. To those who want to play Lego robot wars and just shoot the ♥♥♥♥ out of each other without having to think too hard: this game is for you. If you want to gather resources and build a base to craft your own vehicles: wait until this game further develops these features or just go play Factorio or something similar.
