Scratches that XCOM 2 itch! Just starting out my 2nd run. Took a bit of getting used to - fairly different enough than X COM for it to still be fresh. Difficulty spikes very high in the midgame.

Looking forward to trying out new builds! Snipers felt very OP, hopefully other builds can be as effective.

A little buggy here and there, but other than that fairly solid.

Absolutely AMAZING! A no-brainer for those who liked turned-based strategies like Divinity 2: Original Sin, or the X-Com series.

One of those games where they make your decisions matter, which pays off in the benefits you get, such as unique characters and rewards. Particularly rewarding for those who are familiar with the lore of King Arthur and the round table. It doesn't have as many combat elements such as Divinity 2 - which means less creativity in that aspect. Throughout the middle of the campaign, the battles start feeling abit repetitive and tedioues. But fret not. This game more than stands on its own.

The game really shines in the late game, when you unlock deadly relics and character skills. It's extremely fun discovering the insane combos through mix and matching. You collect characters like pokemon, level them up, and learn epic combos through trial and error. I've just finished the campaign and was glued to my gaming pc throughout.

Best game I've played in 2022.

*REVIEW CHANGE*
The game has improved a lot since launch. I would still recommend getting it on sale, because its best enjoyed by buying the previous games + other DLCs which is admittedly pricey.

GAMEPLAY
Amazing to play such grand-scale strategy, by playing on campaign map, to fighting battles. Sieges still need a huge overhaul to be interesting, as they are a huge crutch for currently enjoying the game.

VARIETY
Fantastic selection of races with distinct playstyles. There are not any grand scale games out there that can compare.

ENDGAME
Gets dull. The options feel like a lazy placeholder for something else to come. Along with siege reworks, this is something CA should put a lot of effort in improving.

Some areas of the campaign map feel constricted/unfinished (Southern Chaos Wastes). I hope CA introduce the dark realms, AKA the lairs of chaos gods, into the mode.

Really fun tactical gameplay. There are some improvements to be made - the game should constantly show the role icon of your characters at all times rather than you having to click on them individually to check. Minor bugs with having to sometimes double click grenades to use, and how it casts on self at times. Early access though so hopefully they fix this.

Fun game, but extremely flawed experience for new players thanks to their leveling system.

You get perks (items) by playing games, and getting top tier perks is a pretty big grind. However, as a killer you are often paired against survivors who already have good perks while you have nothing. I could rant on and on about this, but being a new player in DBD is an unnecessary uphill struggle where you are punished for lacking items you have no access to for quite some time. Theres not even a proper training mode to practice killers, sadly!

I do quite enjoy this game as a survivor, so I will keep grinding points for my killer perks. However, given the state of its new player experience, I cannot recommend a game which INITIALLY takes so much effort and gives so little in return.

Crisp and polished gameplay. Good soundtrack. Interesting story despite feeling like a copy-paste of Pokemon initially.

Best part is it has ton of quality-of-life improvements from Pokemon, E.G. not requiring an HM slave to learn surf, fly etc. anymore.

The downfalls are the ridiculous amount of money required to do so many things, like perfect breeding etc. and I assume as more content gets released this need becomes higher. There is a way to generate income but it is long and tedious. Also it's much slower to level up Temtem, making it tedious to train a newly hatched Temtem catch up in levels with the rest of your team. Hopefully Temtem fixes these issues as time goes by, but I'd still recommend the game.

The biggest sell of this game is its extremely polished, fast paced combat. It is also boasts several variations of combat styles and mechanics, each with their own unique and intricate way of playing. Couple this with a great RNG system of powerups and you get a great game with a lot of replayability.

It also has some great voice acting and interesting dialogue, with great characters to boot.

As it stands, the game is incomplete, but honestly my experience so far is a 9.5/10.

I've not really felt the intense moral dilemmas so many people claim to experience when playing Frostpunk. Still, it's great fun in finding out the best ways for you to survive. Haven't spent that much in it myself but its awesome finding out new ways you could have optimized your chances of survival each run.

Especially with the first mission, you will get a They Are Billions feel because it is a similar survival game with pauses, but you're fighting the elements rather than zombies . Even the ending of Frustpunk's first mission brings the exact same experience: basically a race against time to survive that last event.

Atmospheric. Fantastic soundtrack. Great attention to detail. What truly makes this game so powerful is the creative ways in which it decides to tell its stories. Each 'chapter' feels extremely different from the last. It's one of those games where you feel like you're playing a movie - so if that interests you, this game is a must have.

I don't understand how people could come to the conclusion that the combat is too simple. I've been playing this for a while on PS4 before getting it for free on Steam and I can say that the complexity of For Honor's combat is incomparable to anything else. You must constantly adapt and evolve your playstyle for your gameplay to stay relevant. Yes, the downside to this is the learning curve is super steep, but stick to the simple heroes till you get the hang of the game.

Reccommended for players who enjoy mind-games and real time, tactical action.
