Don't fear the early access, they could stop updating it anymore and it'd still already be more than worth the price.

It might be early access, but they could drop any support today and I'd still find it to be worth playing for months on end even without getting into any of the mods available. The one downside is that the devs have decreed it will never go on sale, but that means you shouldn't wait and should go ahead and purchase it now.
