I hadn't played a shoot-em-up for a long, long time but stumbled upon this and thought at the time, why not? It's cheap... and actually, it's a lot of fun, especially considering that I'm pretty bad at this type of game and usually get easily frustrated. Being able to build your own ship is great and adds a lot of strategy to your runs. Do you go for more firepower, extra batteries or more generators? And what types, as each component can be different from the last? Do you want a behemoth or something sleek?

The campaign may not take you too long to get through, but the meat of the game is the survival mode, to unlock as many special weapons, powerups and pieces of equipment as you can to help make subsequent attempts easier. And it's addictive just to beat your own high score, or to get just htat little bit further than last time.

And the music is great, especially the track that plays when customising your own ship. I've let the game idle so many times just to listen to it, or left the game running in the background as I do other things. And check out Youtube to find out the song titles. :)
