Pros:

+ Charming, varied and memorable characters, especially the main party
+ Right balance of linearity VS open world throughout the whole game
+ Good pacing, never feels like the plot is slugging or rushing
+ Subplots are given as much refinement and weight as the main plot
+ Best postgame in any game, you'll be blown away
+ Impossible to ever get stuck plotwise due to a game mechanic
+ Forging is fun as most other minigames are

Neutral:

* Soundtrack quality is close to being midi, but can be turned into a wonderful orchestra with a mod (Highly recommended)
* Relatively traditional story, yet very enjoyable
* Some quest descriptions are too vague

Cons (very minor nitpicks):

- Would be nice to see the battle order of characters and enemies, otherwise great battle system
- Takes a while to find what enemies drop which forging items from the log
