Bought this game during early pre-Steam alphas, and while I'm the kind of player who tends to bounce from game to game a lot, this is one of the ones I keep returning to. It's all about working with what you're dealt, combined with knowledge gained over repeated attempts, and will place you in new and tense situations again and again. The way the story is incorporated is neat - there is something rewarding about encountering new story fragments and details during your attempts, especially when you have a good run, access a new area, and learn several things that shed light on the world the game is playing out in.

Also, it should be noted that Kyzrati is a very responsive and engaging developer. The game's evolution over time has been shaped quite a bit by player suggestions. He has some vey interesting posts about development and marketing details over on the Cogmind dev blog. Yet, somehow he manages to keep a steady pace and maintain a pretty reliable scedule, as such things go. Even when I don't play I'll stop by to read the dev notes.

If you can handle the roguelike learning cycle which involves losing a lot and learning a little each time, and like games that repeatedly place you in interesting tactical situations, this game is a real gem.
