It's the first game all over again:
You stumble in the wilderness until you find Jaheria, head to the city and stop Sarevok and his friends. Just some new references shoehorned in to advertise Descent into Avernus and as many mind flayers you can get just to ride their popularity due to Stranger Things.

If you like loading screens then I guess this is the game for you. It still has all the flaws of the first game plus some more and doesn't even run properly on modern rigs. It's a shame, because you can still see the love put into making this game and its in-game world.

This is pretty much the basic for whatever else you need to make skyrim still worth playing in 2019

This game has been out almost 2 years and still its bugs and fps drops make it barely playable. The contents are poor and sparse, nothing comparable to skyrim or fallout 3. It's not wort it's price, not even on discount.

Pros
+ somewhat original setting
+ art and scenery are varied and good enough



Cons
- dialogues and choices are inconsequential, even though there are plenty of them it doesn't matter who you kill or ally
- uninteresting companions, you can discover all they have to say in just one conversation
- 3d portraits are terrible
- levels are linear, you just have to clear all the map to get a key placed within the same level
- the story ends unfinished, if you were hoping for a full game you will be disappointed

the game system is broken:
- AI is plain stupid
- trapfinding is still the same lame thing as Baldur's Gate
- spells are overpowered, couple this and the poor AI and you have an extremely easy game
- accuracy >>> damage = attack speed and accuracy are so important they make two-handed weapon useless

Altough plagued by bugs at release, this is now a really nice game. Get it on sale alongside its DLCs and it will be worth your moneys.
