Castlevania meets Smash TV! The rounds are a little long and there's no plot at all, but the game is frenetic fun from start to finish.

It's a very solid series of games from a gameplay perspective, but the story and characters are what really shines. You really do feel like a part of this crew and this super rich universe.

This game is exactly what it looks like: dark but not edgy, offbeat, and perfectly fun. And yes, that Henry Selick look and sound really does persist to the very end.

I love Yahtzee's sense of humor, and there's a lot of interesting nuance in the game, but somewhat ironically, the primary gameplay loop isn't actually fun. It's just a grind to get to the next funny bit.

It's a roguelike that's short and simple enough for a child to play, but it makes your choices matter in a really appealing way. I haven't tried the multiplayer, but I've deeply enjoyed my time with this game.

The rouge-lite elements get a little grindy, and if you have a problem with referential humor, you should probably give it a miss, but I love the strategy and customization, and at 40 hours, I've barely scratched the surface.

I respect the hell out of what they're trying to do with this game- in some ways, this sim is perfectly realistic. I just find it really frustrating to play a game where I can't see what's going on.
