I like the "you have played this game for 66 minutes"

more like an easy 1k hours probably more. I have followed (and played) this game since the 2d days and it never disappoints. The endless updates, increasing complexity, and absolute madness that is this game is just satisfying even when losing horrifyingly.

I at least right now, cannot recommend this game.

Pirates without guns, cannon, or even a single act of piracy?

The eternal quest for food that needs way to many ingredients and rots in no time. (translation, be prepared to spend way to much time looking for food)

No fast travel AND nothing happens while traveling...zero events ever happen while sailing the seas but you are stuck at normal game speed and no way to warp.

No quest tracking that makes any sense at all that I can find. I am sorry Mr. Bones but you will never get your bottle of rare booze because I didn't get a physical pen and paper and write down your islands location...I mean this is like gaming on a Commodore 64.

Maybe this game will get better, at this point though I can't even really call it a game.

after about 100 hours I have a couple thoughts.
1, its a pretty good horror survival with a kinda neet (needs some work for sure) build system. early access blah blah
2, the Devs hate their customers.

lemme clarify 2, Game devs are humans, humans make human mistakes, game devs make the same mistakes in so many games it hurts...literally.

3 kinds of edible berries, you can carry up to 20 of each, eating one gives you 1% of your hunger bar back...and instead of just letting you munch the entire stack or 10 at a time like a normal human they want you to click, 20 times, while some slow ass animation plays, FOR EVERY SINGLE BERRY, all so you can get a 20% snack.

leaf armor, crafted from a piece of cloth and 10 leaves, I am guessing gives awesome camouflage. how to craft?
1 open innevtory
2 right click cloth 10 times
3 right click leaves 100 times
4 read 3 again
5 click the combine gear thing, slow ass animation plays, click gear thing, slow ass animation plays a tiny bit faster, repeat 8 more times.
6 click on your leaf armor in your inventory 10 times to equip 10 pieces.

in short, Why in gods name to game devs ALWAYS add so many effing clicks? and slow ass animations? and why do I need to add each item to the pile one click at a time? why no list to chose from given my available components?

I wrote a review a lot like this for another game recently, thankfully they addressed a bunch of the issues.

why does the laser sight site on top of the gun blocking your view? why is it invisible beyond 7'?

rant off, I am still playing the game, heres to hoping they fix some of this.

the best of Minecraft combined with the worst of Everquest. I love an open sandbox full of players who think its a competition, Players who think you can win a game without a win condition by having the "best loot"
