I don't want to build a base, but it's forced on me. 2k hours in Elona and Elona+.
A normal player builds a base after they have success with dungeons and have loot to store.
Logs and Sticks take inventory slots? Elona just had the Materials page that didn't count against your adventuring items limit.

... It's very early access. please make it so I can watch my attack numbers go up in peace and never worry or think about how many leaves I need to collect to craft a bed, when I'm going to spending the majority of my time around cities with available beds in them.

It's cute, it's free, and I ran out of resources to complete the TUTORIAL at least 3 times, including buying THE WRONG HAT for my FIRST HAMSTER.

the joy of this game comes from experiencing the funny culture - when this game is on sale, it's worth it

but the game doesn't make the best use of the mechanics to make you feel smart or clever; your actions don't result in you having an influence or impact on the story/situation, still, 8/10

this is actually a really good game with a strong rhythm element to it

enemies can use your own special attack against you if you fail a QTE, turning a hyped moment into you essentially killing yourself
bad camera angles especially in buildings or alleys make it hard to see or understand the fight

maybe you're thinking the game moves too fast for you to play it comfortably from watching the trailer/gameplay
trust me, nobody playing this game knows what lies one screen ahead except speedrunners
we're all going at max speed with no idea with just pure faith
and it feels great

this game was designed to hurt a specific kind of person
unfortunately one of those is me

Game is FILLED with bots. The game has a clever naming convention to make sure you can't identify them, but they outnumber humans in every match you can find.

I keep sinking a few hours into the game expecting to unlock things
After a reasonable session of gaming (3~5) hours, I unlock maybe one trivial, useless car.
It's not enough to keep me interested
