Just play warhammer 2. Legitimately a better game in every single way. Mortal empires map is more dynamic and interesting. 3's Mortal Empire map is too large for its own good. By trying to incorporate the realms of chaos, they've created a bastardization of all 3 games. Worse. in. every. way. The vortex campaign is vastly superior to this games version. I still have my issues with the vortex campaign, but those complaints look like nit pick's compared to my issues with 3. The vortex campaign has the occasional chaos invasion, but its tied to game progression. Fighting the chaos invasions feels rewarding and a logical step you take to complete the campaign. The mechanic does a great job at forcing the player into a defensive mindset, rather than steamrolling the map with little regard for your borders. Chaos rifts are a mindbogglingly bad idea. There is NOTHING satisfying about dealing with these invasions. The random element of the rifts make borders and expansion completely pointless. The constant countdown to invasions looms over your head creating a serious sense of tedium that never ends.

To say armies are bland is an understatement. It gives me vibes of total war Troy and Britannia.... the BEST of total war games for sure... WH2's armies had plenty of useless units, don't get me wrong. But the unique legendary lords provided buffs to different units that completely changed how you played a faction. WH3's armies are so narrow that legendary lords provide 0 change in gameplay. Each army has virtually one gimmick. Playing Kostaltyn offers little to no difference in game play compared to the Tzarina. Every factions campaign mechanics are either a complete copy of an already existing mod, or a slightly modified version of a previous games faction mechanics. They might as well called the game, "Total War Warhammer SFO Ripoff"


TLDR; Not worth 50$. Not worth 30$. Warhammer 2 offers a better campaign and army composition than WH3 ever will.

This is the best battle royal game on the market don't @ me. One of the most addicting/satisfying games I've ever played. Servers still kinda suck, but that should be changed with time. 9/10 would recommend.

Listen, don't go into this game expecting civ. It's a rather one dimensional game focus on bathing in the blood of your enemies. That by no means make it a bad game. Unlike total war or Vermintide, i would NOT recommend this game to someone who doesn't enjoy or at least know a little about the warhammer cannon. It's a cute little game for warhammer 40k fans who also like grand strategy style games. If you check those boxes then you might get some enjoyment out of it. Much like civ the real game is in the multiplayer. Tl;Dr Overall 7/10 heretic killing simulator.
