Fun for a few hours, but not worth more time until it gets MANY more updates.

The way I see it atm ltierally everything needs to be completely reworked lmfao. There is so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I dont even want to get started.

Stamina completely doesn't matter, you can just spam and spam punches for the whole game to the point where i've seen around 1200 punches thrown per match from 1 side. And you will still have 90% stamina left over unless you ate bodyshots.

Damage is a joke. I just had a fight where I landed 320 clean left hooks on garcia's face as gatti, and never knocked him down. It seems like unless you are constantly hitting combos of 3 or more hard punches to the face there is next to no chance to rock or KO anybody. But some peoples/fighters style just doesnt let that happen. If you are cleanly outboxing your opponent and landing a single counter hook to the face or body every couple seconds, you will end up going landing 300 of those punches and just go 12 rounds. His face will be a little red on the cheek and thats it.

Whenever you do get someone rocked its next to impossible to knock them down because they can just move away from the punches lmfao. You can double tap LS to run and get in their face, but even when throwing from up close the punches are so slow they will just move out of the way before it lands (because all punches are telegraphed disgusting haymakers (realistic boxing sim lmfao)). Its easier if you use overpowered fighters like Ali or fury who have insane reach but still ridiculous. But if you want to save your braincells you probably dont use any of those... because dont even get me started on the heavyweight division, its a pathetic joke of spamming 1 punch with ali or fury.

The minigame to get up after knock down is the most disgusting pathetic peabrain ♥♥♥♥ I've ever had to deal with and I'd rather let the game decide if my fighter is gonna get up or not instead of having to do that.

Movement in this game LOOKS great, but doesnt feel great. I get that the character takes "steps" instead of gradually moving, its supposed to be realistic, but instead what happens is if you want to do any kind of outside fighting, its impossible to move the exact distance you want, so all your jabs/crosses either fall short, or you get too close and you land crosses with your hand completely bent at the elbow and it looks janky as ♥♥♥♥, this kind of punch would have 0 power irl.

In general if you try to box cleanly in this game and make the fight look anything like the real deal, you are just shooting yourself in the foot and losing the match unless the other guy is doing the same, then you can basically "roleplay" together and have a decent amount of fun lmfao.

Defence feels somewhat alright if you are just blocking, weaving and slipping. The whole thing breaks when you realize you cant do literally anything else while doing it. If you want to slip and throw a counter punch there will be like half a second delay between the two action.. If you want to punch or slip, you have to release block first.. It's most likely for balancing reasons, but realistically block wouldn't be that OP even if it was more dynamic and mobile, because 60-70% of punches still land through your block and count as points.

Speaking about points, the scorecards make ZERO sense and the most significant thing seems to be your accuracy, but get this if you feint a punch it counts as a missed punch on the scoreboard ( im not making this ♥♥♥♥ up). I understand that this is probably an oversight but its still cringe. Even if you dont plan to feint on purpose, you will still do it a hundred times per fight because you feint by blocking before a punch is completely over and you will do this constantly when defending.

Also the fact that you can face the same fighter online is stupid and cringe. Nothing more boring than 2 fighters with literally the same moveset in the ring. Please just let players choose a fighter AFTER they match, or just let the matching time be 10 minutes if needs be.. but at least 90% of the fights wont be between the 2 max rating fighters in that division.

Basically what im saying is the game felt good for a few matches when I found an opponent who wasnt spamming 2 buttons over and over and we "roleplayed" boxing. 90% of the time tho the game makes you want to rip your hair out and drag your balls through a cheese grater because of how unrealistic and dumb it is. The foundation is great, and to my non-developer mind it doesn't seem like rocket science to implement the right changes to make this feel good, but it needs a complete turn around. So let's just count on the devs making the right choices, but to be honest after 20+ years of gaming i've learned to keep my expectations at the lowest.

I usually boot these kind of games up for 5 minutes and never try them again, but this one got me hooked. The combat feels really good.
