Good ideas. Mediocre physics gameplay. Terrible presentation.

The basic premise is solid. Using your Lunar lander, land on platforms in sequence as quickly as possible while trying to avoid collision damage which will make you explode. There are a lot of good ideas in the levels which vary from landing on moving platforms to flying through consecutive rigs, to finding hidden areas to navigating very tight spaces. Its enough to keep it realatively interesting. The downside is the camera which runs into issues in tigh spaces and the sheer pointless scale of the levels. In some levels the game has you traveling very long distances for no aparent reason.

Where the game really falls off is the presentation. While the basic craft is quite functional, its visually uninteresting and has no clear front, back or sides. The majority of the levels are built from ambiguous shapes and poorly built random models that make no cohesive sense. The lack of clearly reccognizable scale elements makes it difficult to tell where you are, where you have been and how far things are at times.

If you are a big fan of physics puzzles and lunar lander style games, its worth picking up on sale. For anyone else, I would avoid this game.

If you are looking for a legitimate sequel to Sacred or Sacred 2, do not play Sacred 3. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are simply based on disapointed fans that were expecting a true Sacred experience. If you can see past this, read on.

If you are looking for a decent, linear hack and slash ARPG with some above average combat mechanics, its worth picking up on sale (under $20). There is not much character variety, but the actual enemy encounters and bosses are fairly well executed. The environments are nicely laid out with overall good art and have some unique mechanics to keep it interesting. I suggest playing on the hardest difficulty from the start to keep it challenging. Once you beat the game it unlocks a brutal difficutly called Deity for the hardcore. There is no loot in the game in the sense of dropped or collected gear or items. Instead they decided to unlock new abilities and weapons through leveling up. Its an interesting change of pace and makes the combat feel more like god of war than Diablo. Which can be a good thing if your looking for something more than a button masher. You will need to have good timing and strategy with your blocks, dodges and stuns to be successful in the harder stages. Play with a controller for the best experience.

The dialogue is probably the worst in gaming history. If you want to constatly cringe and see just how bad it can get, prepare yourself for an interesting ride. You can easily turn off voice and you wont notice the text since it does not affect the game at all.

The game can be finished in about 10 hrs and other than trying to max out character abilities or playing on higher difficulties, there is little replay value. The Orc playable character DLC is worth picking up for a couple bucks. Hes strong and has some fun, skill based abilities.

If you are an action RPG fan that is fine with more linear console style gameplay, its worth playing.

The general idea and systems are great. The scrap system with unlocking weapons slots is works well. The regularly upgrading item shop will keep you changing out and trying new equipment each level. The sheild system is one of the best Ive seen in this type of game. It also sports a cool perk system which allows you to further customize the experience.

While the technical and paper design is fairly strong, where the game falls short is the execution. The UI is challenging and you will more than likely accidentaly purchase a weapon twice or salvage something you want before fully understanding the shop/equip menu. The art is quite bad overall with uninspiring visual designs in enemies, VFX and environment.

There are a few really good boss encounters and some of the enemy patterns keep the gameplay feeling somewhat unique throughout. The majority of the regular enemies and the bulk of levels are fairly bland and the pacing feels flat. There are very few highs and lows which makes the game start to feel boring too quickly. Ground enemies shoot up at you and its very unclear when you will get hit so it can feel cheap at certain points.

Overall: Good design + Mediocre gameplay execution + Bellow par visuals. I will give this a very soft thumbs up, but I only reccomend this game to hardcore vertical shooter fans that have a lot of free time on their hands.

Decent little point and click puzzle game. A few clever designs, especially the radio and the chess set. Other than one of the shifting puzzles, they are all fairly simple and straight forward. Puzzle gamers will beat it in under an hour. Worth picking up for a couple of bucks.

They Breathe is a pleasant suprise. Its a VERY short game with an incredible premise. Its an indie, action, puzzle poem. I would go into details, but its impossible to say much about the game without ruining the main idea. Trust me, its not what you think. Definately worth playing. GG

Very simple but cool game. Great pixel art and soundtrack. The weapon upgrades dont have much variety in mechanics and you will need to grind for money in order to beat the last boss. Regardless of a few flaws, its a nice game for $3.

Great little puzzle game. Simple to learn, with ever changing and more complex number combinations. Solid art and sound presentation. Enough variety to keep it interesting. Modes for both hardcore and casual players. With a $3 price tag, this is a great buy for all puzzle enthusiasts.

Simple mechanics, great level design, nicely paced difficulty ramp and solid presentation. You can beat the game in about an hr, but its definately worth the price of admission. GG :)
