One of the best co-op roguelites I've played. Highly recommend for gaming with the bois. There is a plethora of horizontal upgrades which can feel a bit grindy, but I like that it keeps your alt character's power creep in check. Replayability is very high as the NG+ system offers prominent additional features such as new boss mechanics to keep the game fresh. Absolutely worth the price tag.

Incredibly fun game. However, the player base is in rapid decline due to rampant cheating/exploits and controller aim assist being over tuned. Me and my buds haven't used a controller in over a decade and gave it a try to see how accurate the claims were - I think we each had at least a 3/1 k/d ratio that match, so grossly over tuned.

Full of losers running scripts and cheats. Def not worth playing at this point.

Expected a quality horror experience and, instead, received an existential crisis. SOMA is a graceful delivery of thrilling suspense and curiosity accompanied by an enriching environment, plot, and score. One of the few games with a gameplay decision that forced me to cradle my head in my hands contemplating, not only if I made the right choice, but also the nature of life and consciousness; does a sentient experience have varying levels of quality?

While I am still relatively new to the genre, SOMA has easily become my favorite horror title to date. I can't think of a more worthy virtual title to branch into cinema. Without spoiling anything, the conclusion was brilliantly executed. Whether you expected it or not, it was moving; horrific and beautiful at the same time.

Play the game. You won't regret it.

I had the idea to idle this game every now-and-then so people in discord would think I have friends. It worked, so 10/10.

Horrifically-amazing gaming/cinematic experience. I just finished my first play through of Outlast and Whistleblower, which immediately topped the list of "Games I didn't know I couldn't live without". Mad respect for the developers for putting this masterpiece into my top 10. The only thing I would change is to have played this game earlier in my life.

I Just finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Definitely a more leisure experience compared to other non-combat horror titles like Outlast; more focus on exploration and story. While linear game play, the environment interaction presented in the form of basic puzzles, offers a good deal of immersion.

Graphics are (of course) dated, which brings the spook down a bit. However, the score aged well and is quite creepy; many ambient noises that have you constantly question the threat level of your environment.

The story is great and continues to build as you progress in the game and discover entries from your journal (which are narrated). The game does an incredible job connecting the player to the protagonist.

The game's title "The Dark Descent" speaks literally to your descent into the lower levels of the castle you are exploring and metaphorically as you navigate the horrors of your past unveiled by the recovery of your lost memories. I Recommend this title for anyone who enjoys the horror genre or to someone who is looking to enter it!
