Started out on my journey and picked up a party girl, an escaped con and a lost 6 year kid.

Decided to show peak adulting skills by listening to the party girl and get drunk while driving while simultaneously outrunning the law. Car broke down in police pursuit. Did 3 months jail time.

Lost 6 year old never did find her way back home.

10/10 would disappoint parents again.

Oh this game..

I brought this years ago, I think back in 2018 but it ran like a snail with ticks. Refunded it.

Upgraded my PC in 2020 and brought it again, I couldn't get into it to begin with, the first part of the game feeling a bit hollow. But went over the two hours and put it down.

Came back after the worlds (pt.1) update, pushed through the first part of the game on a new play through and fell in love.

Still haven't done everything yet, but enjoying the vibe. You can tell Hello Games put their love into this.

Expeditions are also a nice touch, it's sort of a season pass with a story which doesn't take long to finish and I respect a game which respects my time, that and it's free! Look forward to what Shawn and the team cook in the future!

As a person who codes spreadsheets, this game gives me the same dopamine high as pulling off a massive complicated formula which does all your work for you! But without upper management complaining they want a different shade of blue.

Great game, loved the first one and this for the most part is a step up, it just feels like a more polished experienced with a few points which could be improved upon. This review is based around 50% of the main story with a lot of side content (there is a LOT!! Plus the side content is pretty great!)

Firstly, performance. I get a lot of random stutters when things get moving quickly (i.e. on a mount it's sometimes difficult to control due to frame loss and I am running an RTX 3070, I resorted to walking a lot of places as thankfully the world is very pretty) there was also one with the cut-scenes but a recent patch fixed this.

Second and admittedly small gripe, I don't mind if diversity is in a game as narrative is the most important aspect, but in a couple of side missions it's hinted that a character is gay just felt kinda shoved in there for the sake of it (one example, right at the end of a mission for a side character you will likely never see again), sure if you want to do that that's great, but at least build the character up a bit and give a reason for their sexual orientation to matter a little, for example having a reason to save someone whom the character cares about. Most of the side content here is great but there was a couple of times where it felt rushed. Most sane people don't care about who a character wants to poke, just give it a good story related reason! At least I won't then have to listen to the people frothing at the mouth when they see anything 'Woke'.

Now that Sony has done a U Turn so this can go back to being a positive review.

One of the best horde shooters I have ever played, the community have been great and that showed with the recent attempted changes. This game makes me feel like the world is less ♥♥♥♥ and deep down we are all Helldivers.

So like many I started in world.

Is this better? No.
Is a good game, absolutely!

My big take away from this though is I started playing this with my daughter who has been bitten by the monster hunter bug with this game (she was sold when she saw the insect glaive and has taken to it like a fish in water), I am looking forward to showing her how awesome it can be in world!

This game just oozes charm!

On top of that the game loop is contently evolving which always keeps thing fresh, highly recommended.

Is essence a Sweeney Todd simulator and for it's price I would say it's a steal at full price, had a lot of fun with this.

Stab people up top and throw them into the basement to make them into pies.

Oh and you can pet a cat. The cat is an "I win" button, apparently Victorian England loved eating rats. So not much different to the average modern day UK kebab shop.

Great little game, fun if you just fancy a chill build a world, see how it all progresses....then nuke them all when you have had enough. It's very good fun for a low key not too much brain power experience.

Even at full price this game is a steal!

Looking at it from first glance it doesn't look like much but its so much fun when things get going!
