Simply the best DnD video game adaptation ever made, and for most tastes the best CRPG. I loved BG1 and BG2 as a kid, and found little homages throughout the game that were a pleasure to see, but playing either of the first two isn't at all necessary to enjoy this more than worthy sequel. The plot, characters, and gameplay are all absolutely first rate (credit to the writers, animators, and voice actors for making companions you will actually care about), and it looks pretty to boot.

While the combat in this game is not the most engaging, the plot and characters had me gripped for more than 100 hours. Strongly recommend to anyone who will listen.

I'm a big fan of the CRPG genre, and I think this is the best I've ever played. If you enjoyed Pillars of Eternity, Divinity 2, or Baldur's Gate back in the day, you will lose yourself in this game. There are still a few bugs, and playing on the higher difficulties can be very frustrating (then satisfying), but the characterisation, story, and strategic richness means you'll spend far more time loving this game than noticing its rare flaws.

Early Access Review
Tremendously fun, especially played with friends. Among the group I play this with, I have involuntarily taken the role of "designated fatality".

The visuals, sound, gameplay and worldbuilding of this game are all extremely well polished. If you don't like bullet-hells as a genre then you still won't like this game. If you do like bullet-hells, play this one.

If you are looking for a visually impressive MMO with great worldbuilding and a good story (by MMO standards), and you are more interested in PVE than PVP, I thoroughly recommend giving ESO a try!

In terms of world-building, characterisation and narrative this is one of the best CRPGs ever made. Each playthrough can feel so different from the last that you'll wonder if its even the same game, and exploring and getting to know the setting and its people has a great feel. If you are willing to put in the time and effort to understand the mechanics you will be well rewarded!

For all that I love this game, it also has clear weaknesses. The graphics looked old even on release, and the mechanics are ideosyncratic and clunky. The game is also unashamedly difficult, especially if you want to be a combat based character. I consider the end result to be a floored masterpiece - while more polish could have improve AoD, it is still the best at what it does by a huge margin and I highly recommend it!

Well worth playing if you enjoy games like Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead, and may be best in class if you also like loot and level systems. You will enjoy this more if you have a pre-made team of friends but its a fun game regardless.

I can't speak to the competitive scene for Injustice 2, but as a casual fighting game I've found this excellent. While the roster of DC characters appeals to me I don't think you'd need to be a fan to enjoy it, as the mechanics and balance seem balanced and nuanced enough to make this an appealing fighting game in its own right.

I found that the port for Injustice: Gods Among Us had not been done particularly well and was rife with optomisation issues, but Injustice 2 feels like it was made for PC.

Pillars of Eternity has a strong story, challenging combat and interesting NPCs, as well as an interesting original setting. Any fan of the old CRPGs like Baldur's Gate will love this game, which keeps the best part of those while still feeling like a modern game. The only criticism I would make is that it has strangely long load times (at least for me), but you should also avoid this game if you dislike walls of text, which it often uses where other games would have cut-scenes.
