I unironically think this is the best fighting game ever made, from a gameplay and mechanical perspective. I originally bought it on PS4, but got the PC version as well because it's so good and I wanted to have the option to play online.

There are some criticisms, but they don't factor into my enjoyment of the game at all. Sure, the menus ARE weird, the ghost mode doesn't really function in a way that anyone would actually use it. The lack of rollback at release has been corrected, and now we have the Steam version for PC instead of the treacherous Epic Games Store version.

The one persistent, relevant criticism is lack of crossplay.

But the things that are most important to fighting games, such as characters, movesets, mechanics, aesthetics, etc. are the best ever assembled into a single game.
