10/10 I've been needing a game like this Its a must pick-up if you like co-op shooters

At the moment there is a lot of server issues do to game blew up beyond the devs expectations and it can sometimes get hard to get in the game. So as a honest advice I would wait to buy it until it is fixed or if you can't wait, find out the time the servers are accessable where you live

Othervise absolutely amazing

Edit: Servers are fixed at least for me, good job!

Second Edit: Sony pulling something you probably already know what it is

Available only in sony approved lands which is less than 75 lands total. Not because they can't but because you MUST have an PSN account

I didnt want to give this DLC a negative review if steam had a mixed option I would have chosen that.

TLDR: Cool new stuff but very linear progression in the DLC and new mechanics makes the DLC drag out battle ( or at least for me on ranger difficulty and level appropriate)

Pros:
+ More content
+ Thematic weapons / Interesting weapons
+ Music and vibes from the areas
+ Cool new pet

Cons:
- Feels like less player choice, very linear story or few ways to play it
- Huge difficulty spike with enermies ( Don't know if I went there too soon, I was lvl 20 on ranger difficulty. Quest says 17+), they can crit someone down in one strike if they don't have at least 30 armor and 5 strength for health and some of them can attack 3 times a turn
- Obnoxious game mechanics:
- A new radiation type that only can be cured easily by using scummy methods or loose out on new crafting
- Said radiation mechanics can appear in random world encounters
- A potent penalty for having said radiation A stacking penalty to combat speed and hit chance but a very small buff to health and healing
- No effective way to remove the opponents radiation buffs (huge armor/dmg reduction and dmg increase) they gain multiple stacks a turn and weapons either require a lot of ap or they have a low chance to remove it
- Some battles are too long imo either because of the radiation or waiting for enermies to go to certain places in combat. Sometimes also because of the huge health pool the enemy has for their level.
- New crafting baiting you into wasting the new and limited crafting resource.

Side notes:
For those who wants to cleanse the radiation easily without loosing out on crafting spoilers below:
- In the start of the game let the prisoner go in the rangerbase and you can meet him in the research lab he sells antiradiation mushrooms. If you don't kill him and buyout all of his shrooms it will restock the next time you load into that area ex. go up and down the elevator.
- Shoot you own squad with an anti radiation weapon like the crossbows you can find/buy in the DLC
- You can cleanse 3 radiation at the cost of 15 RD rods (the new crafting resource) I found a total of 415 in my playthrough. Crafting a weapon from the DLC cost about 90 so you can only craft 4-5 of the new weapons out of the 9 new recipes

Recently finished a playthrough and a lot of the intial jank from launch have been patched. I can now fully recommend the game. The games setting and themes are amazing, while gameplay is good and story solid.

With the void shadows dlc I can say that this game has the best opening to a rpg I have ever played, the dlc adds a lot to the initial two acts of the game which is amazing but i does make the latter acts seems a bit lacking in comparison.

my only gripe with the game is there isnt more of it and i wish more companion dialouge was voiced otherwise there isnt much to complain about as a veteran rpg fan

9/10

Hardcore turn-based tactical game, you lead a mixture of simple farmers to mighty knights to complete all kinds of contracts. Many of your peasents will die stalling your opponents for a few turns and your competent warriors will meet their demise at some point no matter what you do. The game offers a lot of diffrent routes, like starting backgrounds and random generated maps.

9/10 I would definitely recommend to players who like hardcore turnbased games with temporary and permanent injuries
