select & highlight: Dirt Rally
select: Updates tab
select: Steam Cloud [*If selected; remove tick from box]
select: close
From the steam main memu
select: Steam [top left]
from the dop down menu select: settings
from the pop-up menu select: Cloud
deselect [tick box] Enable Steam Cloud syncronization for applications which
support it
Note: test launch Dirt Rally with the setting disabled [*If Dirt Rally
launches go to X:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\userdata\#userprofilenumber#
\310560\remote Save folder and delete content
REMEMBER to enable these setting before launching games that require this
feature also test once more with Dirt Rally
First: go to steam web site; download the SteamSetup.exe [will need this]
Second: create a system restore point
Third: close and exit steam
select: C: Drive / properties /tools
select: error checking [allow this to finish]
Fourth: disable avast or other av software's
Fith: over-install run SteamSetup.exe (steam client) [run the installer to the current install directory address] (we are installing steam over the top of the current instalation to allow it to replace damaged or corrupt files)
Note: allow time for steam to update and detect installed games
next
restart system
