When I first started playing this game I was blown away by the stunning visuals, voice acting, and the interesting story. The game seemed to run without a hitch for several hours of gameplay. It wasn't until I had finally passed the Soviet Installation that I had started to notice any bugs. It would always start off with the frame rates dropping precipitously. Following that, the game would crash. Some days it would be a standard CTD, and others it would give me the BSOD. Try as I might to push on, through these persisting crashes, I just couldn't. Will this happen for everyone out there? I don't know. But, the further into the story I progressed, the more frequent the crashes would happen. The last game that I pushed through was Assassin's Creed Unity, and I am not going through that again.

If this game's optimization was better, I would finish it. If you get this game, I hope that it treats you better than it has treated some of the other people that have played it.

What can I say?

I found this game to be entertaining. Your character is presented with several scenarios as well as multiple ways to deal with each scenario. You won't always have access to each solution because you don't meet the requirements to activate it. I found this mechanic to encourage players to replay the game in order to find out what different solutions would achieve. So far, I have played through the game twice and there is still a lot that I have yet to accomplish.

I bought this game at a discounted price, but it is worth buying at the standard price as well. So, if you are interested in text-based interactive stories please give this one a try.

I remember playing this game back when it came out. I was hoping to experience some of the Assassin's Creed nostalgia. The only thing I experienced was a game that should have been marked as Early Access. The frame rate was ridiculously low regardless of what graphics quality settings I chose and there were a slew of other bugs that I encountered making the game unenjoyable. I stuck with the game, just to see it through to the end trying to find different workarounds to each different bug that would stop me from progressing. The ending itself was not even memorable. I saw one of my friends playing it earlier, and decided to finally give it a try once more. Well, suffice to say, the game crashed to the desktop after playing it for no more than five minutes.

It might be a long time before I pick up another Assassin's Creed title.

The mechanics allow for players to complete each mission in many different ways. Completing the missions in ninja-like fashion (silent and timely) forces the player to think on his/her feet while avoiding conflict. Like many good games, the only downfall is the length.
