If you like the first you'll like the 2nd. Granted the remake of the first has a lot of desired features that didn't carry over to the 2nd for some reason. They will at some point add them in an expansion similar to bitterblack isle. That aside though the game is fun and has all of the cringe jank from the 1st still. Reading some of the reviews a lot of people either never played the first or don't remember it clearly since its from over a decade ago.

a great game marred with poor decision making from the developers. could have been saved by embracing the mod community but decided that they wanted to keep their slow schedule so the game repeatedly died and resurrected every 6-9 months in between releases. the resurrection was always smaller each time though and since it is old content a part of community doesn't bother coming back for something they burned through. Rundown 8 will be the end of the game since they basically say they "will not guarantee any content from there" and since mod rundowns will still get you banned the game is basically on life support until death.

The story is basically a man with a clock head that can only talk in tick and tocks fights with a bunch of snobby idiots that get smacked down 5 seconds after claiming they would save you and after you revive them you ride with them on a bus through hell that wants to eat people.


Oh and there is gacha.

Extremely well made game. Puts other hentai games to shame.

Well made 40k game which is pretty rare. Some minor issues I had with the campaign mostly have to do with ai and how it doesn't really use anything on the terrain to its advantage or make wise tactical choices. Also the inquisitor has a gift for making me angry with any of her choices and I would have jetisoned her into the nearest sun if the god emperor allowed it.

Good game. Challenging and has an interesting story that makes you want more. Lot of playstyles to choose from based on which librarians you use except towards the end where you get locked in. Want more hopefully there is a sequel after the final update.

As someone still progressing the game is a very good SRPG for an indie title. Lots of strategic decisions to be made and hits the right spot of being quite challenging. Also has the gear impact the characters look which is such a simple thing that many games ignore.

Edit: After completing the game I found it is truly a hidden gem. Very few games can pull off the not to serious story well but they managed to make it enjoyable and I loved the characters by the end. RNG can kind of screw you over at EXTREME times when you miss several 100% chance to hit attacks in a row it can make you feel like throwing your monitor out the window, but by the end you can develop methods to mitigate these happenings.

I hope the developers continue with this quality in future games.

Truly a hidden gem. I have not been so impressed by an indie game in a long time. The game is difficult with a very unique story that can not truly be compared to anything else.

Very well made game for the price and definitely deserves more attention. Picked up on a whim because it appeared in my steam recommendations and was pleasantly surprised. Has about every single possible mechanic that you can think of in a jrpg and pulls them off well.

Definitely a hidden gem. Picked up on a whim and couldn't put it down till the end. Likable characters, interesting environments, and a great story. Fully destructible environment as well. My only qualm with the game was how the stealth combat worked in that once you were in stealth nothing could find you even staring right at you, but aside from that it was a great ride.
