I came to sail, as I once related, chasing a boyhood dream of Hornblowers, Bolithos, Ramages and of course, Aubrey. Steeped also in the lore of Hawke, Anson, Rodney, Howe, Cornwallis, Nelson and c. I found here the almost blissful union of reality and myth, of adrenaline and awe, of fantasy splashed with the gore and blood that were the realities of the gundecks of a man of war.
Ultimately, my goal is to sail, as would never have been possible in past years, in a virtual ship of the line. and well, you know . . . blow ♥♥♥♥ up.
