5 years on an the game still has unfixed bugs as fundamental as the audio doesn't work. There is a painfully loud static hiss drowning out all audio. This was also present in BF5. This happens in no other games, and there is no clearly documented fix for this issue. Having the audio half and what is an Audio/Visual experience not function is pretty piss poor on DICE/EA's part. Worth repeating that I have no audio issues in any other application or game, only BF1 and BF5, so it's not a driver/pc/hardware issue. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-1/Hissing-static-buzzing-noise-from-speakers-within-PC/td-p/5645628

Great implementation of Riichi Mahjong. Great and varied AI, with lots of hand automation. Only draw back is how highly automated the game is for us. We were playing Mahjong in TableTopSim(until a recent update broke everything). The only thing this is missing is a bit more player interaction with the hand. Picking up and dragging the tile into your hand or discard pile, rearranging your tiles in between turns, and the option to have the game not pause for Chi or Pon opportunities. It's great that the game automates all this, but it's almost too automated, where you can disengage from the game play cause the games doing so much for you.

But that's just constructive criticism for what is without a doubt the best implementation of Riichi Mahjong on PC. The iOS app is fantastic also. So highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Riichi Mahjong or is interested in learning it.

Fantastic game, think Factorio meets No Man Sky. Super compelling factory building mixed in with some exploration, light combat and a never ending list of efficiency challenges to overcome. It's highly replayable as well. I've been following the game since launch, and the dev team is fantastic. They're constantly working hard to add new features and the community managers keep everyone in the loop with how their tracking.

I haven't even delved into mods or multiplayer yet, which I'm sure will make future play through's even more fun. If Factorio scratches an itch for you like it does for me, well this is a must buy!

As much as we all hated waiting around for another Half-Life, I do have to say after playing Alyx, I get where they were coming from when they said they didn't want to just release another half-life game because they could. It's about a great story, but also pushing game design forward. Half-life 2 had cutting edge physics for it's time, and the full immersive experience of Alyx is really something to behold. Super immersive, controls are really easy to learn on the Valve Index, so they don't break your immersions. I can play comfortably for about 2 hours at a time as well. Only draw back is the price of entry. If can afford the Index, you're not going to be disappointed by it or Alyx. They're both fantastic.

Fantastic game. Solid mix of management/factory sim with a bit of a puzzle element thrown into the mix. Provides a good challenge with rewarding problem solving.

The win condition for the base game is based on a fairly random feeling reverse bidding on stock system. The rest of the games decent fun, but this mechanic that determines if you won at the end of it all is very unsatisfying. I think they've changed this in the DLC, but I don't really care to pay for that right now just to fix the boring end-game.

--Update-- the heat is on DLC fixes the end game mechanics (although doesn't actually fix the original campaign mode, which I feel is still broken). Again it's decent enough fun for a fair price tag.

Civ 5 and Civ 6 are much better than this. Just save your money and buy one of those instead. Personally 6 is my recommendation currently.

Beyond Earth just lacks personality and loses all the charm of the Civ series. As much as I like the idea of a Sci Fi Civ, this isn't going to stratch that itch for you.

Awesome game, great little RTS. Can't wait to see how it evolves as more features are introduced. More than worth the price for the single player experience on offer already though.
