Much like most of the characters in it, this game is a mix of a feverdream and crack addiction rolled into one big mess.

It's weird as heck and incredibly fun. I completely and wholeheartedly approve.

Do you like post apocalyptic settings, ninjas, samurai, cannibals, slavers, corrupt nobles, religious zealotry and an open world that simply wants you to die? If you answered yes to 2 or more of those, then Kenshi may be right up your alley.

Graphically speaking Kenshi isn't anything special, but it more than makes up for that with its open ended gameplay. You can do whatever you want within reason, you can build your own town, take on the various powers that be, become a slaver or fight slavery, you can join the Holy Nation and become a religious zealot as you slaughter those that believe differently or fight against them, or you can just set up a store in a town and sell food and medical supplies to the wanderers traders and adventurers of the wasteland. Its all up to the player to determine what they want to do.

The game also includes a modding toolkit and has an active modding community. There are mods that make the game even more punishing, or more easy, mods that let you become a cannibal yourself and anything you can imagine.
