Giving the local reverend a shot of liquor I found in a closet, some encouragement, and a weird looking doll and then sending him into some room I'm pretty sure is turbo-haunted by ancient ghosts to take care of them.

Interesting game. The core reason for the recommendation is that I find the autobattling which makes up the bulk of the game to be enjoyable. So if you enjoy autobattlers, and especially if you also enjoy creature collectors, give this one a look.

This game was a free to play microtransaction game but the mircrotransactions have been removed and the game's economy has been rebalanced to feel fair while still requiring some amount of grinding (but not too much, in my opinion). The core gameplay loop of the game has alot of strange decisions that were clearly motivated by the microtransactions that used to exist, but I think overall the game works well now with them removed.

Was a bit on the fence about picking this one up but glad I did. Really fun game.

Obviously at almost 500 hours played I'm going to recommend this. It's one of my favorite games ever. Impressive combat depth combined with a rewarding loot system. I can't fault those that had technical issues for their negative reviews though. I've had a few minor ones, but nothing a driver update didn't solve. Looking forward to the next one (I've heard rumors of a Rise PC port later this year).

My GOTY 2020, but I will say that I thought it was a bit easy. Maybe I would have been better served cranking the heat a bit harder than I did after my first win, but the game kinda discourages this. Nothing else bad to say about it though.
