The perfect game for when you don't feel like gaming or don't have time to game. I love being able to scratch that Runescape itch without enduring the heavy grind of it. Melvor Idle also has a good amount of things to do and goals to reach, I'm excited to see what the future updates bring, and add, to the game.
*Pro Tip*: Don't forget to equip your Gold Topaz Ring when doing non-combat actions, as the game will rub it in your face if you miss the chance of catching the illusive Signet Half Ring (b). Unfortunately, I'm speaking from personal experience. Good luck, boys.

Early Access Review
A21 was the final straw for me, as I previously had a positive review here. I love this game very much, it's one of my favorite games of all time. BUT- The Fun Pimps are, in fact, not very fun at all: they want you to play this game the way that they want it to be played. Don't waste time working on your base, because A21 is a magazine collector simulator, so opening mailboxes as efficiently as you can is the primary objective now.

Some examples of negative things in 7D2D:
1. Forced to hunt for magazines in order to progress, rather than doing anything that you would like to do. (this feature is not the worst, conceptually, but it was badly implemented and so it really sucks the fun out of this game)
2. Watching zombies spawn in front of me. (has been an issue forever)
3. Zombies being triggered to wake up and attack because the code told it to, not because I made noise. (has been an issue forever)
4. Increased zombie reach in A21, zombies will hit you despite being well out of arms reach.
5. STILL super laggy.
6. STILL super janky gameplay and mechanics. (still in early access, I know)
7. These devs DO NOT listen to their playerbase, they continue to make changes that nobody asked for and nobody wants. (The MAIN issue)

I would still recommend people to play this game, which I understand is ironic because of this being a negative review, BUT we 7d2d players need to be heard by these devs, and if a good game is going in a bad direction, we need to make that known and we need to make an impact wherever we can, until the devs finally listen to us. I've been playing this game for nearly a decade (my Steam hours don't reflect that, of course) and I believe it could be one of the best, if not the best, survival/crafting game of all time. But that is if 'The Fun Pimps' are competent enough to reach the full potential of this game. I hope so, yet I fear for the future of this game. I will wait and hope that I can change this review back to a positive one.
