A game that has created many fond memories that I will cherish.

The gameplay can be a little wonky, especially in the later parts, and fleshing out every character with abilities and talents can sometimes feel like a bit of a chore. For any 40k game however, I maintain that presentation is key, and this game has it in spades. Nothing beats the kind of cinematic showdowns where your party is facing off against Forgefiends, Greater Daemons, heretic Astartes or cunning xenos with a team of genuinely interesting characters, none of which ever felt like a 2D cardboard cutout (which is quite easy to manage in this setting). For seasoned vets of the setting, the characters showcase surprising depth and for newbies, Rogue Trader does a fantastic job of walking you through a setting that must surely feel daunting or impenetrable at first glance.

Well worth the price. I look forward to any DLC :)

And remember, Explorators know only one route: forwards.

It's been a rough road from release but it's definitely starting to hit it's stride for me.

On the downside, performance can sometimes be inexplicably rough (even on better machines), there are still some persistently frustrating bugs and grinding out ideal weapons can be time-consuming.

On the plus side, there's a lot more build variety than VT2 imo, Fatshark have nailed the 'feel' of 40k (levels, enemies, weapons etc.) and the moment-to-moment gameplay feels very satisfying - especially when you melt an ogryn's face off with charged plasma.

Overall deffo worth the price tag for Warhammer/Vermintide/co-op shooter fans, especially if you see it on sale.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my Steam Library, it disgusted me.
I craved the strength and certainty of turn-based combat. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Soundtrack.
Your kind cling to your games, as if they will not bore and disappoint you.
One day the crude library you call complete will vex you, and you will beg my kind for fun.
But I am already having fun...
For Mechanicus is a sick-ass game.

Words won't do the game justice. If you like exploring space and planets by the seat of your trousers and enjoy the journey more than the destination, this is one for you. It even gets pretty emotional at the end of it all ;_;

10/10 would experience the wonders of the universe again. And the dope music too.

A rock-solid game with deep customisation, especially visual, to dig into. This game is a real gem.

nice and chill strategy game. graphics are really charming, enough depth to sink quite a few hours into and invasions keep things interesting as things progress. definitely recommend.
