This is probably the best game you will ever play. If you also buy the DLC and start using the wide range of brilliant mods now available, then you probably won't want to play anything else. Simply, a work of genius.

This is a great single-player campaign. It's one of the best CoD modern warfare games ever made. While the game play is pretty good, it's the character development of resistance commander Farah and her brother that make it special, with emotional flashbacks to their childhood during the brutal Russian invasion of their country (seemingly based on Afghanistan, but unintentionally also very relevant to what's happening now in Ukraine). It leaves me wondering how Russian gamers can play this without a sense guilt and horror over their army's shameful inhumanity. Anyhow....

...there is a big BUT, though. This jewel of a CoD game is seemingly stuck in the quagmire of the Warzone online debacle. That means that, after downloading, you struggle to actually launch the game and end up being presented with multiplayer options only. I did complete the campaign, but now I seem unable to relaunch the game to play it again. What a god almighty mess.

I really do question the technical competence of Activision over this. Moreso, I question the company's management. To have such a great game in the catalogue, but then hide it in the wreckage of a load of online garbage is just plain stupid.

Having said that, this campaign game deserves to be played. It's probably the last good CoD ever made, and it's an absolute gem. On a par with CoD4 Modern Warfare (2007), perhaps.

A great game indeed, and Ada Wong is simply adorable. She also has excellent dialogue lines that are totally in character with her personality of a tough chick with a heart. Has anyone actually married a game heroine yet? If not, I may be the first to propose. Ada, will you...?

While it's an old game, it's still fun. Some great gunfight settings in Wild West township settings. Gameplay is pretty clunky at times, though, and the regular 1 on 1 duels are annoying. Best to check out the many tips on YouTube for these. In porting the game from console, it's seems the optimisation for PC failed in these duels. As the game is just a couple of quid now, it's worth a shot (pun intended).

Actually a very enjoyable game. It combines very precise and demanding combat, Tomb Raider-style exploration, monsters and several delightful, super-cute Asian female characters in skimpy costumes (let's face it, guys, what is there not to like...). Also included are 'instant play' modes such as Arena, and a practice area. Most surprising of all, in Photo Mode there are 5 different Asian pop dance routines. Bizarre but...well, see for yourselves. Looking forward to more updates and a follow-up.

CP2077 tries to be a bit of everything, but ends up being little of anything. The huge city backdrop is sterile, conversations are boring, the early stage gun mechanics are beyond abysmal (so many head shots needed to take down an enemy), the hacking tech is irritating, and the inventory and upgrade systems are opaque; the main character's movement is permanent running and seems incapable of stealth; the saved game slot system is poor; and the central story seems devoid of any real purpose or value. When the CP2077 project launched 8 years ago, there was already Deus Ex, Metro, GTA and Fallout - excellent games with a focus on interactivity, strong stories, good gameplay, tension and character development. But 15 hours into CP2077 and I see little of any of that. It's too much like GTA but without it's fun content.

Addendum: after the rant above, I spent another long night on the game, and it actually started to improve. My tip here: leave the big oaf Jackie waiting for you, and go do some missions on your own for a while. This helps to level up weapons and a few skill points. Best way I found to do this is to do a few 'police missions'. Here, play a cautious killer style (if you've played Far Cry, then treat it like attacking outposts). Loot bodies for better weapons. Oh, and try the Katana sword. It's good for stealth kills, especially is you level up on 'blade' skills. In a police mission in the north of NC you also pick up a sniper rifle which deals reasonable damage. Hope this helps.

The concept is quite good, but the game play seems seriously marred by technical issues. Low FPS, lag, and occasional glitches like the bomb detonator in your hand suddenly disappearing, all make for a rather demoralising game play experience. For new players like myself, the 'local' missions against bots are ruined by bot enemies suddenly spawning very close by and just offing you in a split second. Such a shame, but this game needs some serious improvement IMO. I have a moderate pc system (1070 card, i5 board) and excellent broadband, but I struggle with this game.

I can't even get this damn game to launch. After 20 secs or so of tech blurb, it goes to a black screen. My card is Nvidia 1070 GTX and board is an (old) i5, but I've not had this problem with any other game. Running Windows 7 (still). Unhappy to spend money on stuff that doesn't work.

Any friendly advice would be most welcome.
