Game has great potential.
I can recommend the game as a Early access game for now.
(TIP) Make sure you save you game before and after you doing anything in case you run into bug. Auto Save seems to only activate when entering a new system. (I have lost several hours of game play)

Key fixes that just ruin game play currently:
1) Warping to location on planets and getting the black screen.
2) Spawned location on planets being under the mesh of planet surface and unreachable.
3) Pit locations tunnels on planets shifting/glitching and trapping avatar in caves. (No Escape)

Those few bugs right now stand out as real progression busting bugs.
But if the progression losing bugs are not squashed I will be changing my recommendation.
Fancy animations and more content don't matter when you sit down for a couple hour play session just to get stuck somewhere and be forced to reload from your last save and lose all of that progression.

I hope to see more variations in ships, for the few that there are they are really well done.
Currently the planetary dungeons and poi's on planets they all seem to be the same and replay-ability fades really quick.

This is just my thoughts and suggestions based on my game play.
Keep up the good work developers.....

I like the game, unfortunately I wasn't able to complete the game due to some bug that would not allow me to build all thee parts for the portal. Maybe that is fixed now. I might play it again soon...

I like this better than Mechwarrior online and the mech's don't cost $50.00 each. :P

How the hell is this not a Early Access? It's not even in a beta state, maybe pre-alpha....

Updated: They have fixed a bunch over the years, I don't think this game will ever be great but at least now its good to ok. So I have changed my recommendation to a Yes. But as a new player you will struggle with finding players to run older dungeons with as when I returned to the game it was very hard to find people cueing for the dungeons. Which is just sad.

As a seasoned experienced gamer I am sad to admit with so many of the other recent reviews that the dev's are truly nerfing this game into the ground. I don't know if these dev's know how to fix their game at this point. But it reminds me of how Sony nerfed SWG so far into the ground that a huge segment of their player base just said "I quit". They are systematically destroying any of the good things about this game and trying to drag out the lack of content by making the existing grinds so miserably long that nobody except for the no life gamer's will do those grinds. They have completely destroyed solo play for me in this with the nerfing on most elite mobs and now I am forced to group up. The pvp in the game is terrible at best due to the terrible netcode they must be using or cheap servers. Not sure which. And now they are starting to force pvp on players similar to the way Destiny does which is truly a ♥♥♥♥ way to create incentive to actually pvp. It's not like there really is a good reason to pvp in this game anyways with all the mechanics for pvp being such a broken mess. Perhaps this game with be better in a year or so of development, but right now its a hot mess of bad decisions, bad implementation, and bad game design. I wanted to really like this game and it did show great potential, but the dev's have convinced me that the direction they want to push the game isn't one I want to be a part of. As of right now I cannot recommend the game in its current state.

For one, this game seems to have no real huge bugs or crashes that I had seen. That's a huge plus in the Early Access market. Two, the game play is pretty spot on for a game consisting of you hunting down and killing different kinds of dinosaurs. There's a few different types of mini missions in the open world areas that keep things interesting. The Dino AI is pretty good (AI could always be better) and challenging. The only thing that I think needs work is the weapons mods and customization of the combat systems. They seemed to be a bit lack luster and hopefully get a rework or something. But overall this game is fun to play and I can't wait to see what they add to this game to make it even better during this stage of development.

If Total Annihilation and Satisfactory had a baby this would be it. This is probably one of the best games I have played this year. It's has great progression as you unlock new things to build and construct. The interplanetary stuff is really awesome, just when you thought you were done expanding on the planet you start on. You get to go to other planets and then tie it all in together on a entire solar system level. Really enjoyable.

I think this is a refreshing addition to the looter shooter category. I've heard it compared to everything from Anthem to Warframe and since I've logged a huge amount of hours on most of these games I can say to me it's basically Diablo 3 with guns and it works. Yes the launch was rough just like so many titles these days and yes there might be games with more content like Warframe and Destiny 2. But if you are totally burned out of all the other games in this category (Like me) then this is a great game to play. The tier system for advancement is good, the gun play is just as good as Destiny 2 if not better and there's no shortage of loot to sort threw. The customization system has allot of flexibility in building different kinds of builds. All the skills seem useful with the right mods as opposed to allot of games with certain skills or abilities that just seem worthless. The one thing that stand out to me about this game that makes it truly unique is the healing system that really makes you get into that fire fight to keep yourself alive. This system I have never seen in a game like this before and its a interesting and satisfying system even if it takes some adjusting to. I think to beat the story and get into the expeditions end game your roughly into about 30-40 hours of game play, which is about all someone should realistically expect from a $60 game. Overall I Rate the game at about a 8/10.

This is exactly what early access games should be like. Solid game play with plenty of room for the content phase of development. Core mechanics seem to be in place, even if they might need some tweaks. The last time I played a game in early access that was this good was Satisfactory and I thought they set the bar for what early access should be. Thank you Iron Gate for reminding AAA developers what we expect in a early access game.
