I miss God Hand. This game didn't deliver. Tries to tackle too much without enough of a grounding in the martial arts that we'd like to see. Bruce Lee or "Faejin" was great but way to be totally basic with the playing field of what martial artists get a seat at the gameplay table. Ambitious project that didn't quite pay off. Worth on sale. Now we have Micro-transactions for a game that's community is relatively intersparsed across the globe and mostly unpopulated. Expect phantom hits, parries to not connect, and windfall dodges to rubber band.

Solo experience alone? Not developed and deep enough. Tries for the subtlety of Darksouls mode of story telling as there is quite a bit of text one can read on item descriptions but the latest cutscenes are locked behind a PVP system that leaves some uninterested. Co-op was lacking until Downfall and now we have three extra boss fights and three zones to have "procedurally generated" recycled assets. The objectives for these dungeon dives are the only ones that get switched up each run. Grindy, uninspired and for gear that just raises stat ceilings. Want a competitive edge in PVP? Better bash your head against hours of the same cheesy boss fights.

Combat does feel pretty intense when it's not rife with latency issues, peer to peer nonsense, and merely malicious gankers.
But what do I know. Decide for yourself on this one. Might be worth sale price but Deluxe Edition feels like a money grab. Go for only if you enjoyed the soundtrack and like art for really interesting assets that only a fraction of which made it into the final product.

Two maps. Some color variations on your weapons. A few new weapons. Charging 1-2/3rds of the games full price? What nonsense. Pick up on sale if you must and only have one person in your gaming group pick it up. It's just not worth it otherwise.

I've changed my tune on this. I was apprehensive with how micro-transactions were being handled. A Certain Shareholder's involvement with Fatshark also made me nervous for the game's shelf life. All things considered what you have here is a remarkably well fleshed out four player medieval action game with a Warhammer patented paint-job. Fans of Total War: Warhammer, Left 4 Dead, Diablo and other nuances of the genre can find things very familiar. Fan's can find themselves fortunately enjoying content they may not own vis-a-vis someone in their group owning the DLC's and that's not something standard for this industry. Not necessarily a technical masterpiece, as there are some bugs but I think what's important is that Fatshark seems interested in ironing out what they can. I'm pensively awaiting a rework for the game's smithing system as it's abrasive for starters. All and all it get's a glowing endorsement from me. Be sure to pick up with friends for a rat-fighty cultist-killy good time. Looking forward to Darktide if this sets enough of a precedent.

I had higher hopes for this game, but with it fast approaching 4 years up to bat it's time to speak my mind. It's a janky mess. Some glitches have persisted for years and TWI is away on lunch. This game was the pet project of Antimatter Games, a subsidiary dev-house tasked by TWI with continuing the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm genealogy. Antimatter games has since been sold off leaving Modders the bill of making this game work properly. There was a road-map but It was full of broken promises anyways. Most of the DLC's were cheap cosmetics nonsense aimed at getting long-term players continued support. Green Army Men was initially a free add-on meant to be cheap Christmas fun but has since divided the community. Out classed by many other shooters trying to capture the setting, almost all of which do not have the glitch baggage or corporate greedy mindset when it comes to additional content. Don't even bother picking up on sale.
