Bigger and much better than the first Assassin's Creed.

Ezio actually feels like a character with a personality compared to Altaïr, the map is much bigger and the missions aren't always "find and kill". The game also features some really memorable characters like Leonardo Da Vinci and Mario (no, not THAT Mario) and many more I don't want to spoiler.
The controls are also much better compared to the one in Assassin's Creed. You also have more options to fight: more combos, more weapons and additional fighting abilities. If someone wants to start with Assassin's Creed then THIS is the game to start with!

Quite addictive game, although rather repetitive. Still, the parcour, climbing and fighting are sooo fun. You will have to get used to the controls (which are not awful by any means, they are in fact rather good) if you have played AC 2 first or any of the later AC games.

It's AoE II. You can't go wrong with it. Also much friendler to low-end and medium PCs.

Very fun game ... and better than Episode 8 and 9. ;)

At the moment I can't recommend AoE II: DE. Why? Well, the game is crashing and crashing. Be it in the intro, after the intro or when I start a match.

I was a beta tester and even there these problems already happened. I expected the developers to fix that before release, especially since I wasn't the only beta tester with those problems.

I might give this a positive review once it's actually playable without any crashes. But for now I unfortunately can not recommend this game.

EDIT: Now the game is playable! No crashes and even a so much smoother performance.
I just wish that mods would be on Workshop, but I get it: Because of the (rather awful) M$ Store the developers wanted that both, M$ Store users and Steam users, have the same access to mods. Anyways, like I said I recommend this game now.
But please, dear developers, next time listen to us beta testers!

What a fantastic game that definitely deserves all the positive reviews! Having it completed it now, I have to say it was an emotional rollercoaster that brought many tears in my eyes. Definitely worth a purchase!

The only "bad" thing I can say is that this game is way, way, waaaaay too easy.

Ah, finally an RTS in the style of AoE or Rise of Nations again.

And the (few) civilizations that are in the game are different enough.

There are still some bugs (e.g. one of my riders in the Byzantine faction was goofing around when it stood between 2 buildings) and the AI isn't the best yet (was building houses in my city when I nearly destroyed it). Don't get me wrong, the AI isn't terrible, but it needs some fixing (same goes for the animal AI).

But I really love the graphics, as they are rather unique - especially for an RTS. Oh and the music is quite good, too.

The main game is fun, even though repetitive. But what makes this game are tons and tons and tons and tons and...okay, you get the idea ... of mods.

Do you like LOTR, Warhammer Fantasy, The Wheel of Time or other fantasy settings? You will get them!
Do you like Star Wars or Sci-Fi in general? There are mods for you, too!
Do you like history? Well, there are mods set in ancient times and medieval times...and more!
Do you like weirdness? The Warband mod community has you covered!
Do you like anime? Yes, anime mods exist, too.
Also other kinds of genres exist as mods. Just look at the Steam Workshop or any Warband modding site...

If you're still not convinced to get this game, look at how many hours I've played. ;)

I'm still hyped for M&B II: Bannerlord, even after all these years. :D For the game itself and for the mods, of course.

P.S.: I hope someone makes an Age of Wonders 1 mod. ;)

Feels a lot like Cossacks 1, which I love including its add-ons. Speaking of the add-ons, I hope we will to see those nations in Cossacks 3, as well as the rest of the original Cossacks 1 nations and maybe more. If that happens then Cossacks 3 might become my new favourite Cossacks. But even so I enjoy it already, even though I haven't played much (and thus this "review" might change).

Most fun I had with a sandbox game since LEGO Creator.
