The 40k setting attracted me to this game. The fight sequencing, repeated mission types, singular story line severely limit the re-playability. There are other games in the turn based RPG genre which do it far batter. 4/10 @ full price, recommend waiting for sale.

HLL blends fast-paced action shooting with elements of a MIL-SIM. Inter and intra squad communication and coordination is essential to victory. However, the shooters experience can be punishing due to the developers replication of realism. No one soldier is more valuable than the victory. Visual and effects are incredible, flaming wreckage, firefights and smoke plumes from across the map in combination with background map activity make your computer slippers feel like mud soaked boots. This to my distain, however, is where the game lets me down. Simply, graphics and video settings can be reduced for a significant combat advantage whereby removing the "visual clutter" makes the killing easier. In a game where body shots are frequently kills - this turns the gameplay experience into an unfavorable one and - for me - not one worth the space on my largely unused hard drive. I would check this game out again if said "features" were more appropriately implemented.

There is no way to earn cards without paying for them. Regret purchasing this game.

Story line is immersive, unique plot and personal connection with character and companions.

Game lacks replayability and personal character & environmental choices. Feels very much like a console developed game and not one suited to expectations of PC based users.
