Like many have pointed out, it is similar to Xcom but without many of xcoms fatal flaws. The cover system is very unique and works well with the free aim system. An engaging story filled with politics and mystery, while at the same time it does not force narrative and exposition at you. Over all excellent gameplay and my only criticism is with the difficulty of the dlc factions who at the beginning of the game stomp through your squads like bulls on parade

Excellent visuals and audio, switch between story missions is very fluid and un-intrusive.the open world aspect is very fun allowing you to tackle enemies in pretty much anyway you can imagine. Definitely the culmination of the halo sandbox formula with easy access to weapons at FOBs. Excellent world building from abandoned UNSC camps where rations and sleeping bags are left to the scattered remains of UNSC and banished bodies and equipment. Rewards exploration through the map and offers unique insights into characters through audio logs scattered around the map. Halo is definitely back into the form you would expect from the old bungee days with even the tone being serious but with the classic halo comedy. the fluid combat is very fun and allows for more fast paced high action exploits. 10/10 would back smack sleeping grunts again

Play this game or you arent cool

Honestly one of my favourite games of all time, very enjoyable atmosphere and great accompanying music. It really is an amazing story generator that will have you remembering characters and events good and bad fondly even as you watch your colony crash and burn around you with the sound of randy random cackling in the background as he sends another mechanoid raid at the same time an infestation comes ramming into your base from below.

An excellent game. Chivalry pails in comparison. It was off to a rocky start but is smoothing out now.
