I would definitely recommend this game.

I've had very few bugs or issues (there are some of course) and it will still benefit from fine tuning/balancing some details and mechanics. Despite that, it's been a blast. Beautiful art style, great exploration on well designed maps. The soulslike-ness of the world and combat is actually quite well done, and not overdone either. I've just beaten the new update and will look forward to more content in the future. The devs seem to care about gaming, and it shows in their work, a bit of a rarity these days I think. It's also nice to see a smaller independent studio make a good game when AAA no longer seems to get it.
For the bugs: some stutters occasionally when entering new areas, sometimes getting stuck in odd corners of the environment (not that often, and a reload fixes it). One single crash in ~200 hours of fooling with this charming world.

Perfect atmosphere for STALKER. Recommend for fans, for noobs - wait for some technical updates. Still fun, challenging and worth it.
