It was great. Now it is not good. And heading down. It used to be challenging. 12,500 gems was a lot. Now people have formations with the new champions and can earn over one million a week, not joking.

In order to handle the power creep, they added patrons (you do the same missions over again, genius), tiamat for legendary items, modron cores that allow you to automate stuff further distancing you from actually being invested in your earned champions and their gear and progression.
