Early Access Review
Extremely disappointed with today's announcement. Nobody in their right minds should support crpto in any way, shape or form - thus I won't be. Uninstalling this after watching countless of hours of streams (still no spectator mode btw).

Jets'n'Guns 2 is the well-deserved sequel fans have been waiting for.

*** Review for version 1.02 ***

Pro:
- more of the general Jets'n'Guns goodness
- massive amount of ship customization regarding loadouts (weapons + modifiers, missiles, bombs, ship upgrades, ultimate abilities)
- addition of the weapon upgrades ("gems")
- instant preview of your loadout
- level menu which tells you how many secrets you have to get per level
- boss fights are very well done, both mechanically and visually
- hidden easter eggs/goodies/tributes the fans have known to love (looking at you Anakin vs. Obi-Wan)

Con:
- filters in the shop would have been nice (like in an earlier patch) - right now it's one long list you have to scroll through
- gameplay loop could have been a bit longer
- no different ships, which is (kinda) compensated for with the modular upgrades (minus the weapon slots), but for me that was a big part of the charme of the predecessor

Overall a big, definitive recommend for any fan of the horizontal shoot'em ups; a no-brainer for Jets'n'Guns fans.

Early Access Review
It's early access - I don't recommend this game *right now*. On a future full release this recommendation can change.

PROS:
- beautifully crafted areas, cities, routes, cutscenes
- simplified mechanics for a non-hardcore experience
- good design ideas for most of the Nexomon
- game feels very responsive to inputs
- fresh, non-standard story (compared to Pokemon)

CONS:
- mechanics are almost too simple: no held items, no differences between too wild mons of the same species, not enough variation of attacks/moves
- hence no real customization of your mons and strats
- some minor gameplay hickups (after a failed catch attempt your selection defaults back to your first move instead of staying on the Nexotrap, thus clicking too fast may result in accidental KOs)
- menu navigation (backpack and shop) feels a bit clunky
- balance of gaining XP / level of your opponents (trainers) is extremely off: getting other mons up to a competitive level for trainer battles is way too tedious/slow for how fast you need a mon of a different typing, thus the game is making you grind boringly for hours only for your mon to have a slight chance at survival.
- even if your mon is 10-15 levels above your opponent they can still two-shot you with regular attacks.
- the two above points are likely issues stemming from this being a mobile port, and with no cash-shop on the PC version no buyable XP boosters or the like. Therefore these points need massive improvements before the 1.0 release.

TLDR: If you want a simplified, comfy Pokemon experience for a low, fair price this will be the game for you. However wait until the rough kinks have been worked out.
