Efter ett bra lir i cs, addade jag honom eftersom han verkade vara en cool snubbe. Vi började chatta med varandra och efter ett par månader blev vi riktigt goda vänner. Många trevliga samtal, massor av bra CS matcher och framför allt utvecklade vi en nära vänskap.
Jag bjöd in honom till ett cs-lan hemma hos mig. Han tackade ja och jag såg fram emot att han skulle komma. När han dök upp, tryckte han upp mig mot väggen och började nafsa mig i örat, jag kände hans styva kuk mot mitt lår. Jag slog honom på käften och one-tappade honom. Det visade sig att han var bög. Skum snubbe, lita inte på honom.

It is true I have a somewhat identifiable gait, so I am told – a swagger learned as protective colouring in my teens but about which I am nearly always unconscious and when I am, try to control. Once doing that in New Cross in SE London, a black youth I knew from my work in a local youth club shouted from across the street: “Walk like a white man!” Apparently my attempt to control the Dublin swagger was resulting in the kind of walk adopted by many Afro-Caribbean youth.

Pac was very smart and he was very silly. He was a clown. He wasn’t real gangster but he acted gangster. He was a method actor, so he went a little too far. He was like, ‘Oh, I’ll shoot you!’ Pow! He’d really shoot you. He’d overcommit. I could tell he wasn’t a gangster because he had the softest hands. No gangster has hands [like that], I call him a Palmolive thug. He’d be like, ‘Come here, you want some of this,’ and then he’d give you this gentle hand. It was soft. Then he had these long eyelashes looking like [Mr.] Snuffleupagus, just like, ‘You don’t want none of this. I’m thug!’
