A solid ARPG with great gameplay. It's pretty straightforward, easy to pick up and play. Does not really do anything "outside the box" but instead delivers good fundamentals.

Edit: Needs more content and needs to reuse content in a smarter way. Currently the biggest problem the game has.

As Frank West would put it: FANTASTIC!

A proper sequel done right. Smooth gameplay coupled with great graphics and sound.

A must buy for DmC fans. Strongly recommended for fans of action games.

Fantastic COOP game, one of the best. Fresh, action gameplay, large variety in scenery and situations. Highly recommended. Decent/Good replayability, higher difficulties are proper challenging!

Progression is RNG-based (?), fun at first but a bit annoying later (I would assume for most players).

Disclaimer 1: Requires Games For Windows Live to function, can take a bit of tinkering to make it work.

Disclaimer 2: Supposedly crashes if you have too many CPU cores (changing # cores in BIOS works? But worth it for one game? Nope).

Finally a Monster Hunter on PC! Fantastic gameplay with loads of variation and content. After hundred hours there's still plenty of game to discover and new challenges appear often. A well made "reboot" of sorts that helps new players experience the franchise for the first time by slowly increasing the difficulty and cutting down on the "time to kill". Great game to just start and do a couple of quests or to grind away the night.

Simply put, a must have. It's fantastic in both solo and coop (2-4 players)

Iceborne review: It's more of the same but even better. Amazin.

Great game. One of the best game franchises to date. Yakuza team at SEGA doing amazing work bringing a story to life. While the story propels itself forward without issue, many will find the actual gameplay (fighting) annoying. This is a case where the player needs to make their own fight scenes as exciting as they want it. You can mash buttons and probably make it through, or you could explore the many HEAT actions in every battle arena. Sounds lame, I know but I've played 5 Yakuza games and still love every minute when playing.

Note: Yes, the game "needs" a gamepad, but solid port and performance.

Game is slowly getting better but has been in a terrible state for too long for a positive review, if there was a "try it and see if it works" option, I would've picked that one. This is of course referring to the fact that the online is a crapshoot whether or not it'll correctly match you with players with stable connections. The game has two different connection types working side by side for some reason, meaning that you flip a coin more or less if you get a working connection or a laggy mess. This is shown ingame via icons during the pre-fight screen, but at that point you are already matched and have to fight someone on a connection that skips around on screen.

How bad does it get? Connections within Sweden (within an hour of eachother) are inconsistent and shows signs of "lag". It's extremely subpar, feels unfinished and put together by people with zero prior experience.

That said, the gameplay is decent and will be getting tweaked and altered in the near future.

For now, other fighting games on the market deserve some attention as they're doing a much better job at delivering a satisfying product (nope, I don't care about arcade mode). Game needs an overhaul but worth a shot.

EDIT for 2021: From some brief testing the game appears to be fixed to a satisfying degree. I can now recommend this game.

Great fighter with easy and fun combo mechanics. Has a good story mode and plenty extra modes to play around with.

An improvement over previous titles in the franchise.

Get it if you like fighting games!

Solid monster slaying game, great button mashing fun with plenty of content!

Worth getting if you enjoy the "game loop" of the "Monster Hunter" series.

Interesting setting and story as well if you enjoy that sorta thing but no, it's not really that relevant though.
Cut up all them Oni's, get loot, repeat.

Please note: The game has some technical issues when played on Win10 systems (This is easily fixed with compability mode set to win7). Also noticed lighting flickering between missions but never during missions.

I say buy it, if the game doesn't work you can refund.

Disclaimer : Bought during 50% sale.
