We all search for something that helps us get through the tough times. Me? I always turned towards video games when I was having a bad day or I needed to wind down. My grandmother always asked me, "Is this all you're going to do today is sit in your room and play these kids games?" I was 16 at the time. Once I heeded her advice, I found a life of partying and it got tiresome. I realized that being an alcoholic and going to the bars isn't at all a healthy lifestyle. So I went back to playing games. Now, here I am in my 30's still doing what I have enjoyed since I was a child. I have since ♥♥♥♥♥♥ married, bought a home, had two beautiful daughters and started a business. Turns out, playing games didn't hinder me in the slightest. Had I gone down the road I was on, I would've surely turned into an alcoholic/addict and my life would've spiraled out of control. I am thankful for the choices I have made throughout my life, right or wrong. I am also excited for my children to play with me one day when they are ready!
